Well if the OP has all day to play the "piling up" of those leves wouldn't make sense, if he/she can just do them each day. So that's why I thought it was a little bit sarcasm in your reply =x

But yeah it would be cool to actually pace your own leve actions. Like 3 on Mon, none on Tue, 1 on Wed and the resto at the weekends or something =P I'm eager to see what else is coming. But I guess we won't see 1.19 before september :/

Agreed if OP has "not enough time to make parties" but "wants to reach max rank in under a month playing all day long" then the OP is confused.

I think as the community gets accustomed to the current changes party formation at all ranks will get easier. Right now ppl are just focusing on the new content.

I feel this thread has reached its conclusion. And the remainder of the thread will likely debate motive.

Chances are, a solo player is soloing due to time constraints or unable to put in consecutive hours of gameplay. In which case, leveling up will take longer, whether leves, behests, or solo grinding. Slow and steady. And it may take months to rank to 50 like this when focused on a single class.

But if more time is available, say three or more consecutive play hours, and the objective is to level up quickly, then we know, solo is not nor was ever the most effective way to level up an adventuring class.

What city offers the best leves for solo person's time? I dunno. I have a feeling it;s still not Nanawa Mines related.

i work while i play so i have to afk a lot. As such i can play all day but can't devote the time to being in a party. But even if i could party, this is FFXIV.... almost no one parties.

if i do leves and behests which seem to be the most efficient it would probably take me over a week to just get from rank 30 to 36. As opposed to prior to this patch where I could do it in a few days. This patch was supposed to make it easier for casuals, not harder. thats my problem.

So basically you are complaining about being able to multi-task your real life scenarios with the game.

If you are working while playing an MMO, I would suggest getting a solo-type offline game. Or how about, you know... work while you're on the clock.

umm this game was advertised as a solo MMO, up to now its been fine. FFXI was fine. Almost every MMO is fine. 1.18 just messed things up and im sure in like 2 weeks someone will find some legit exploit like a certain mob or something that you can grind on for good sp like in every other patch so far.

If you're gonna play all day, why solo? Surely a party would be more fun and beneficial.

That would be nice, if people actually used the search system and there were some camps with decent respawn times.

honestly I don't understand why people in this game are so unhelpful when it comes to where to sp. not one person in this thread listed a good solo sp grinding spot in the game. Instead all people do is say "do the things in game" with no actual specifics or direction.

A few people were somewhat helpful but most people's answers seemed like they were trying to justify to themselves that there is a good way to level.

How to SP solo?

There are lots of different theories, but this is the way I do it. You start by logging in to the game. You will know you did it right because you will see your character standing there. Also you should be alone and not in a party. Next look and see what level your character is. Your goal is to aim for mobs around that level. next you run to where a mob is. I've found it helps to bring a DoW or DoM class and not a gathering and crafting class. Weapons work better than pebble toss. So now you are ready to fight. With the new auto attack it is easy, take your weapon out and walk up to a mob and you will start attacking it. Now the next part is a little fuzzy, but if health bar of the mob runs out before your health bar, that is considered a "Win". The system should be designed to give you SP and experience.
