Sorry to hear about your situation, but your FC wasn't stolen
Sorry to hear about your situation, but your FC wasn't stolen
FC's are self-governed, you trusted someone you shouldn't have.
"Agreements" mean nothing on the internet, trust is an illusion.
Get up, dust yourself off and move on.
1. Why are you playing an MMO (and leading a guild) when you're on the verge of losing your home?I recently ended up homeless and in a situation where I could not possibly log onto the game while finding a home and new job. The new program in the game which switches the guild leader to someone else after 35 days took effect. When I got back onto the game after losing my home another player had become guild master. Upon explaining my situation and the details that went with it to him he very rudely refused to return ownership of my guild to me. I sent a complaint to Square Enix and they sent a Game Master to speak with me. Upon speaking with him/her I was informed that Square Enix does not allow Game Masters to handle these situations.
2. Your username, character name and guild name hurt my head and make me inclined to believe this is a troll post.
bro, what you should be worried about is to find a stable job and work on your real life situation. this is no time to worry about your guild or character in a fantasy world. $15 per month helps a lot in your situation.
secondly, thats what you get if you randomly invite people into your FC. only invite people that you trust.
I assume you have announced to your fc members about your absence beforehand before disappearing? Then just let them know you are back, the new leader is power grabbing, so they should all quit and join a new fc that you start again. If they prefer to stick with the new leader, then perhaps there is something else in play that we are not aware of.
Have you ever looked through server logs, like, ever, in your entire life? Yes, they *may* have the logs ( I have my doubts about keeping logs longer than a month). Do they have the time to parse those logs for random chat that may or may not have happened based on a vague description from a player who can't nail down a date and time? Nah.
I don't know why you still want to be a leader of a FC. You need to be a leader in your real life situation.
I'm of two minds about this.
You had a personal emergency come up and had to stop playing for a while. It would be nice if your second-in-command said "No worries, hope things are better" and passed lead back to you. Did he know that you were going on hiatus for a while? If so, and he's pulling a "neener neener" and keeping the rights to himself... what a poohead. :/
But, if you just dropped off the planet suddenly and he's had to pick up the slack for the past X months, it's not fair to him for you to demand leadership back. You flaked out (for whatever reason), why should the FC members trust you to not do it again? It's extremely demoralizing for a FC to lose it's leadership, especially suddenly and for an extended period of time.
I'm the third leader for my FC. The first ones left within a month's time of creating the FC; the 2nd went on vacation and didn't return (in my case, thankfully he did return once, briefly, to ask who should be leader and I was nominated for the job.) If either returned now, after I've been busting my ass for 9.5 months, and demanded leadership back, I wouldn't be inclined to just hand the FC over like that. :/
I don't think that's what happened. By his description, leadership was passed, and when he came back, a new player was in charge. So, this was someone he hadn't known about before he left. The 2nd in command decided to move on from what was most likely a sinking ship and pass it to a new leader. You had a personal emergency come up and had to stop playing for a while. It would be nice if your second-in-command said "No worries, hope things are better" and passed lead back to you. Did he know that you were going on hiatus for a while? So now, the new leader, all of a sudden gets a /tell from what appears to be a stranger "hey, I was leader of this FC, give it back, please." The answer would logically be "No." I don't know how far back in the FC Activity Logs you could go before finding an answer like that, but it makes sense that he wouldn't give it back.
After looking up the FC (which, btw, this thread will probably closed because you posted the name of), it shows they have no estate. Obviously, a lot has happened since this guy was leader, if it's even true at all. The FC needed to move on.
