Yeah, I play exclusively on a PS3 and only time I have problems is when my internet lags. Not going to lie, though, Labyrinth if ran too often in a row sometimes froze my PS3, but other than that... I haven't beat Turn 5 yet, but it's not because of lag or FPS (how hard is it to put the red marker in the conflagration, really people! And it's bottom of the hill, beep-beep, top of the hill...). Still, I have to wonder how much of a ~phile you are to even notice dropped FPS. Not saying I can't, but it has to be a huge drop for me to notice. The things I DO notice alot is animation lag (where your character starts an action and just kind of freezes in that pose for a few seconds or longer, used to be really bad in the spiral in Pharos).

Its like one of the first few that came out when the ps3 was released, I usually get around 10 to 15 fps in low populated places. and drops pretty badly in coil even doing all I can to help the fps like turning off effects and so on.

Yes as much as I hate to say this, that ps3 is too old to run this game very well. Friend of mine had the fat ps3 and couldnt even do garuda. You are gonna have to upgrade in some way to deal, newer ps3,ps4,ssd, etc.

edit: just realized you only want the trophy, If I were to recommend something itd be to have 7 friends who can already clear help. lol

I main tanked and cleared t5 on ps3 before making the jump to ps4. Best advice i can give is to turn all effects off except yours. T4 was far more brutal for ps3 with adds literally showing up 2-3 seconds after it appears on your enmity so you have to pre-emptively grab aggro from an enemy that hasn't appeared on screen yet.

Only issue with Turn5 on PS3 is if you use a stock hard drive, which pretty much makes dodging the first divebomb in each set a 50/50 chance due to load time issues. Framerate in that fight is more than playable enough.

You were just spoiled by the 60fps and had to downgrade to a locked 30(lower)fps switching controllers is also bad its like switching from a pad to a arcade stick gonna be hard but you have to relearn everything also its pretty doable if I can do 2nd coil on ps3 no problem you can too.

Can't you just get the Ps3 to "check" for your T5 clear?
Kind of like if you did the main scenario on PC already, you can just turn in a random quest/watch a CS and then after that's done you automatically get the trophy.

Yes and no. Unless it has been fixed, here is what you can do:

Enter and defeat Coil 5. Once you've beaten it, but before taking the teleporter (aka, as soon as the boss is dead and loot is distributed), log out of your PC and log in to your PS3. Then continue on as normal. Your trophy will pop after a few moments.

i have 20 T5 kills as PS3 along with 4 T9 kills too as PS3 too

as both tank and healer

all i can say is turn all effects except yours

and the fight will go ok
