That shamefaced moment-

Come on, you know we've all had them. Yet, once the shame goes, we find that, more often then not, they become something that we laugh at.

What was that moment for y'all? Something that made you wanna drop group/fake DC/turn off FFXIV and go hide somewhere in the room until the stigma wore off?

Mine had to be the first time I did Titan Hardmode. Believe it or not, I watched the video and read up on his attack rotation. I felt like I had a decent shot, eh? Well...Somehow, one way or another, I managed to get hit by every SINGLE damned attack and ability he could dish out in that fight. I was literally hiding my face under my jacket hood while I was sitting there after we finally downed him. Felt horrible, despite my FC buddies reassuring me that everything was fine.

Mines was in Titan Extreme. My protect is on a seperate hotbar so i have all my must have during battle on my first hot bar (cross hotbar ps4, press r1 to change hotbar).

So, i cast stoneskins/protect at the start of the fight. Ran in, started healing. Or i THOUGHT i was. Realised nothing was happening.. only realised it too late when the group had wiped because i wasn't actually healing, being on a completley different hotbar at the time lol!

Needless to say the group I was with was questioning why we wiped, i /shrug and say i don't know, we continue to kick his ass xD

Mine is when you and your friends are getting a few lols out of the random puggie in whisper chat, only to realize that you have accidentally been talking in party chat >.>

Also, not necessarily in this game, but in games that have voip built in it is realizing that you have push to talk disables and are broadcasting your drunken singing to everyone else in the game >.>

getting hit by all three ifrit hm charges. twice in a row. and by that i mean, deliberately walking into them out of carelessness despite never getting hit by them regularly. always pay attention kids.

Staying up late trying to get on during a major patch release to do the content and then trying to fight the errors for another hour. Finally realizing how pointless it was and that I could've gotten some hours of sleep instead.

doing titan extreme and avoiding everything til i lagged to final landslide before killing it so titan died by the time i stroke the ground

Accidentally hitting the wrong jump button in Titan Ex. Instead of a nice satisfying Dragonfire Dive, I did a rather pathetic Elusive Jump backwards off of the platform to my death. Titan then decided I hadn't been humiliated enough and preceded to Gaol my lifeless body at the bottom of the canyon.

There have been a lot of them in my time of playing FF14, but there was definitely one yesterday when I tanked AV for the first time. I believe it was the pull after the 2nd boss where you have a flying ghost thingy, two ranged patrol mobs and some diremites or whatever you call 'em. I overestimated the power of bloodbath + vengeance + overpower spam and decided to pull all of them. We kinda wiped there and boy did I feel like an idiot.

Sounds like my Titan HM moment. I spent a good hour watching videos. The first time I watched a video before dutying up for anything. Things started off well and I went to rez a DRG that had gotten caught in one of the attacks... and then I got caught in an attack. I got rezzed... but right in the middle of the an attack

The PUG reassured me as well that I had been doing a good job otherwise
