Before 1.8 we got sta at a constant rate, even if we whiffed, we could attack again shortly, or maybe had sta saved up for it. Now, if we miss we are out of luck and hope the next attack hits.

Among other suggestions I have seen I would propose, even if our attack whiffs, give us a small amount of tp. We wills till want to strive to hit as much as possible for greater gains, but this way an angry rng or tough enemy wont become a "sit and watch" style of fight, we can at least slowly build up something to fight with.
