I returned to the game, so much new stuff

Hello all, why I may not be a new player, I haven't played this game for 5-6 months.

I got back to the game recently and I would like to start playing again, but there is so much new stuff you can do now, I don't know what to do and where to start.

When I used to play, the game ran the "realm awoken" version, now there has been 2 big patches after that.

My main questions are:

my ilvl is 86, is there new armor in the game, and if there is how do I obtain it?

I dunno if they have changed the classes that much, but what are the most popular black mage rotations right now, I remember there was a bug that involved casting 2 flares in succession but have they fixed that?

Generally, what new is there to do, and how do I access the new stuff?

I could maybe find this at my own with little googling, but maybe there are some nice people that are willing to give me a little summary about what I should do, it would be really nice and helpful.

Welcome back to Eorzea! There has been a lot of new content added to the game in the past six months since you were last on, far, far too much to mention here. So a good place to start to get up to speed on the changes is to pursue the patch notes for the 2.2 and 2.3 patches and see what was added, which can be found here: 2.2 patch notes and 2.3 patch notes

Additionally there were several smaller patches done in the months between those main patches which also added new content, equipment and the like, so these are the patch notes for them: patch 2.15 notes, patch 2.16 notes, patch 2.21 notes, patch 2.25 notes, patch 2.28 notes.
