T6 DPS Problem: Middle Bulb

My static is having a problem with the middle bulb.

It isn't with recognizing that it's spawned, but rather targeting it QUICKLY so we can DPS it down. How? You can't see it when Rafflesia is standing in the middle. I can't target it with my mouse. Do I scroll through enmity list till I find the right one? That doesn't seem like the fastest way.

I feel as if there's something simple that I'm missing.

I believe you main BLM?

If so, all you need to do is Flare the boss, ideally with Swiftcast.

That's all you should need to do (flare takes a big chunk off a bulbs total hq), the other dps should have no issues finishing it off.

For targeting (if it's actually needed) why not just hit Tab?

Tab targeting, always. If your camera is facing the right way, it will be your next target. Mouse targeting does work, if you are clicking the nameplate (and not the actual monster). But, I still prefer tab.

To be honest I've never used tab targeting! Yep, I always clicked on the enemies in the enmity list. I guess I was right when I said it was something simple I was missing. Something EXTREMELY simple it seems.

Thing is, with Flare, you don't even need to change target, if the other dps are that awful you can even save a CD/SC to always double flare middle bulbs, though it really should not be needed.

Tab Target = Using the keyboard Tab button to select another mob, based on distance from the mob you currently have selected.

Echap to clear the target then tab to target the nearest. I usually put a sign on it.

Im on ps4 so i just hit the right pad button and targets the bulb quickly
