    Hotbar help

Been playing on PC for a few months now and I've noticed that as I approach lvl 50 on my WHM and BLM my default two bars look... crowded. Between the class/job skills and cross-class skills I seem to be lacking room for the last few skills I will acquire at lvl 50.

I've looked through the menus some and I didn't see any option to add extra hotbars to the screen. Am I missing something, or is the awkward shift-switching all I'm going to get as far as access to extra bars? If so then I'm probably going to have to come up with some macros to condense things.

Oddly enough, somehow I managed to fit everything I need with SMN on two.

There is an area to change number of bars on, and if you want bars to be the same over all jobs.
Its in one of two places, cant remember which atm, the Icon looks like 2 + with buttons instead of the +.
    1) Character Customization>> hotbars>> with 3 tabs in that window for customization
    2) System customization >> hotbars>> with 3 tabs in that window for customization

Personally I run 3 bars for each class + 3 shared bars for all classes (that I keep mounts/food/teleport/return/medicine/gearsets etc on)

You can also go into HUD Layout and I believe you right click on a bar to enable it.

Hey, I had the same problem finding the additional hotbars, it's quite easy if you follow the above steps. The fastest way is to hit ESC>HUD layout>then right click on the name of the ui element (hotbars in our case) you wish to enable/disable. If the name is blueish it's disabled, while white means it's enabled. :3

Also, hotbars 1 to 3 change with each job change while the rest are static.

That depends on your settings. In the Character Config > Hotbars section, you can set as many of them as shared or not shared as you like. Any that aren't set as shared will change with your job/class.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.
