Anyone read the FAQ on the site, normal ticket buyers cant enter until Saturday?

I get the reasoning but seriously? If we didn't get an early registration ticket we can't attend 1 of 3 days. So our tickets cost the same but are effectively 33% less of a ticket and we miss 33% of the convention?

Any opinions?

And I know it says almost entirely to early registration but I would like clarification on this if possible.

Sorry for the confusion. All tickets purchased allow access to all three days. The FAQ is explaining that the first day is devoted mostly to letting individuals register or check-in and receive their entry to the event. Most major activities however start on the the second day, Saturday.

Do you know how late I can register? At bronycon you could be there at Thursday at midnight, and the con was 3 full days for $60. I'll definitely let my dad know we can arrive Friday. He'll like that. Well except for the plane lol. He's not going to the convention though. So far I'm alone D:

If it's anything like other conventions or events of this sort, you can register (and by register I mean get your badge with your previously-purchased ticket) at any point during the event, up to a few hours before it closes on the last day. You'll just have to wait in line to get your badge and thus miss out on cool events if you don't register on Friday.

If its anything like the FFXI fanfests, the only thing on Friday is the sign ups.

How late is check-in? I'm trying to figure out my flights and would like to schedule it so I can check in on Thursday before early registration closes.

There is no registration at all on Thursday. Friday is the registration day, and Saturday/Sunday are the actual convention days.
