    What ever happened to monsters actually..having sound effects?

    For example in FFXI and 1.x when a monster attacked or you attacked them/missed they had audibles of their species. While in ARR some monsters do still have sounds, a lot seem to have had their sound taken away from them.

    Either my sound hasn't been working or it's likely moved to channels (surround sound that I don't utilize.)

    It was always interesting how lively monsters felt because they ...as weird as it is to say, made sounds just like us players.

    Wow that video is a blast form the past... Also I played with a few of them, so that's funny.

    Monster sound effects would be neat, I forgot they even made special sounds XD


    Talking about monster quirks it would be nice to see other identities brought back as well, I miss aggro types, monster behaviors like curiosity, fear, following or helping (snurbles).. Some flavor touches would do well to bring the over-world some special light.

    Eh..... That fight from 1.0 looks boring also the sounds are not the best but there are more of them

    Animation locks do not make sense, if attacks are comming in randomly.

    Also this looks no where near fun, what was the meaning of playing games again?

    The growls are a neat touch, altho looking at that fight, holy cow that WHM looks like he's bored out of his mind.

    I agree that enemies need more sounds and, especially, voices. Some enemies have a few vocal lines, but they don't match the text and are very quiet (Gaius van Baelsar is a prime example). The excuse of "Well we're all on the same server so we don't want it to be different" doesn't really hold up either, considering the segregated server structure now.

    And no, I'm not asking for enemies to have 300 lines and read me a story before bed. Just actually voicing the darn Primals when they say something would be grand.

    Welcome to healing in 1.23. Cast regen, cast stoneskin, cast regen, cast stoneskin, OH MY GOD EMERGENCY CAST CURE, cast regen...

    Some mobs, like coblyns and goats, would also walk up to you out of curiosity. It made the world seem a bit more alive.
