Looking for ways to skill bsm desynth after 70

I am stuck at skilling bsm desynth at 70 since as far as I know there is a lack of items to desynth for bsm after 70.

    The ones I know of:
    1. Weapons from exchanging marks: Need people who love PvP or do lots lots of frontlines for this to be effective.
    2. Primals weapons: Depends on drop rate, and actually winning the loot(chances are increased going as tank, but not guarantee if there is another, and only if correct weapon drops)
    3. Crafted weapon parts and i70 weapons: Way too expensive to craft for a extremely low return of investment

100 desynth here, Summoning Bells are your best item for desynth skill-ups after 75 simply because despite all the breaks it's highly likely you'll halve the costs thanks for Fieldcraft III demi results. Hopefully you have a miner/botanist at 50 and a mastercraft carpenter/blacksmith to soften the blow of the clusters and myth mat costs. And at 75 you're getting 0.3-4 skill per success which is way more economical per success than crafted i70 stuff.

The PvP weapons are i70, so stop giving good skillups at 75. Garuda weapons are 70 as well. Moogle weapons are 75 so could push you to 80 if you hire a boosting party. Good luck, it does end up taking about 15-20 bells per level average until 95, then 10ish per level after.

Yeah, summoning bells. Keep going with level 70 gear until you're only getting about .05 increase a time, then switch.

Im at i80 and i decided to avoid summoning bells and focus on pvp swords until i82ish which then ill switch to mog until 89ish. Saves alot of money in the end.

Yeah, I agree with others here - grind on i55 items until you start getting 0.03 exp from them (i75), then switch to summoning bells. Math says that's best.

But, I say, up yours, math! Out of the ~30 bells I've desynthed so far, ~27 failed. Last time I made 16 bells, 14 failed. It's really heart-breaking and terrible. Math still says it's best though! If, like me, you and Math have a rocky relationship, you may want to do PvP for the blades until ~83 like someone else said. Just know that each i70 success at 82 gives you about ~0.20, and you'll only have a 73% chance of success.

Mathing it out, from 75 to 83, you'll need, on average, 45,832 Wolf Marks (only 27,092 Wolf Marks for 75-80). You will get, on average, 6.4 Battlecraft Demimateria IIIs doing this (3.6 if only going from 75-80), which is worth (on my server) 960k (540k if only going from 75-80).

In contrast, using Summoning Bells, you'll need, on average, 1,500k (only 940k for 75-80). You will get, on average, 2.24 Fieldcraft Demimateria IIIs (1.3 if only going from 75-80), which is worth (on my server) 1,568k (910k if only going from 75-80).

So, using the bells, you come out about even on average leveling to 83. After that, bells all the way definitely. Using Blades, it'll take a TON of PvP, but you'll be earning money instead of breaking even. If getting 20 gil per Wolf Mark sounds like a profit to you (12k from a Frontline win, 9k from second, 6k from a loss), definitely go for the Wolf Mark route. If spending your time doing PvP doesn't sound appealing, go for Summoning Bells (and fervent prayer to RNGesus).

The easiest strategy by far imo, would be to find as many friends u can to help you farm Mog HM repetedly and then pay off the rest. Assuming you can find 3 friends to do it for free, you can pay the remaining 4 people 20-25k each per hour to pass on loot. At 100k per hour in this example you can net at least 5-10 weapons as well as cover the cost of this hour with only 1 Mog demimateria (1Million on my server) obtained from these weapons.

This is something me and a friend of mine have been doing recently with great success (aprox 8-10 weapons per hour). We are both splitting the cost since we both want different weps to desynth. You would be surprised at how many people are looking to earn gil but dont want to craft or farm dungeons. This provides them another opportunity that also earns them some myth which is another source of gil. PF results are also great as you can also offer up any weapons that u dont require (CRP) as FREE lots in the comments. Simply offer a Half now Half later system to ensure they stay the entire duration of the hour.

I'm not very good in math however i think its safe to say that paying for people's time is much more cost efficient than breaking bells at 35% chance. Once i reach around 87% skill the chances will be more reasonable. Until then i'll just keep selling the summoning bells (200k on my server) and killing moogles.

This is an awesome idea! I've got to try this!

And, to do that math out for you, 12.5k/hour * 6 (if you don't have any friends except the one you're sharing with) / 4 weapons = ~18,750 gil per weapon. So, with this form of Mog farming, you'll spend, on average, 920k to get from 75 to 83 (only 555k for 75-80). I don't know your chances of getting Demimog materia (too small of a sample size so far), but you'll have 28 chances (16 chances if only going from 75-80) along the way. You also have the chance to get Battlecraft Demimateria IIIs, worth ~150k each on my server. My educated guesswork tells me you'll get almost all your money back just from the BC3s, with the Demimog materia being extra on top of that.

    That's... actually pretty excellent! Thanks!
