just wanted to post some things from the materia update and see what people think, or what your plans will be.

Creating materia requires the “materia assimilator” key item, an apparatus which can be obtained via a quest available to players level 18 or above.

* Certain gear cannot be converted into or enhanced with materia.

i wonder what kind of gear cant be converted

Attaching materia requires the “materia melder” key item, an apparatus which can be obtained via a quest available to Disciples of the Hand level 18

so this melder, is it gona be a craft that you rank, doesnt seem like it

Players who have met certain requirements can obtain the more advanced ”augmented materia melder,” which allows the attachment of up to five pieces of materia per item.

will these requirements be higher craft lvls, materia quest, or maybe both.

* In order to attach materia to a certain piece of equipment, Disciples of the Hand must fulfill the class and level requirements for crafting it.

so does this mean you have to be able to make the item you are applying the materia too, if so what craft dungeon gear/un-crafted gear be assigned, most likely the craft that repairs it . This gear i believe may become obsolete if you have to have a rank 50 raft to apply materia to it since you cant trade it for someone else to put the materia on it.

* Only NPCs can purge materia.

will they have npcs that can apply materia for a price, will be useful for that un-tradeable gear.

feel free to speculate or say anything you want, these are just some of the things that worry me about the system. I dont see myself going for a lvl 50 craft just to apply meteria so maybe ill just turn my un-tradable gear into materia, idk, "* Certain gear cannot be converted into or enhanced with materia"
