ppl will always find an activity with superior rewards, if it isnt hunt, its something elseI don't do it, but thanks for the insightful commentary. I also remember that people spammed Castrum and Praetorium in 2.0 for the easy Philo and I remember that WP dominated 2.1. Your definition of fun and rewarding isn't mine, and I can respect that. However if you're here to tell me that you argue against a broad variety of with equivalent rewards rather than one piece of content funneling everyone to one spot then I'm afraid we'll never see eye to eye.
and from all "superior" activities so far the hunt is the most enjoyable

We'll just have to agree to disagree here. Ultimately neither of us has any control over the situation, so all we can do is wait and see what happens. As I said in my original post, it's Square-Enix who can see exactly what the effects of the system are and if everything looks fine to them then things will continue as they are.

I have to give SE credit, the three newest dungeons at least are comparatively easy when it comes to completion. All three can be "speed run" - does not take very long time to clear at all. At the end of the day, it is grind - the least they can do is make it more fun and rewarding activities. Hunt is nothing but "I found it first, screw everybody else" type of activities with zero tactics, strategy or any type of skills employed. Find it, zerg it, rinse repeat, "it's all about me, i forgot about you and everyone else". If they want to help everyone to gear up, put Allied Seals on duty finder dungeons, increase the reward from Duty Roulette. Increase drops from ST. Add more drops in Labyrinth of the Ancients and at least ONE guaranteed random 100 gears, accessories or logs, books, etc that you need to exchange for oils. Suddenly the "farming options" increases threefold. And Hunt is not the only thing you do for hand out gears.
I joined my first hunt party this week with my FC, and quit in about an hour. My FC is very organized, utilized linkshells, and we got to participate in most, if not all hunts that popped while I was playing. Safe to say my time spent here was fairly lucrative. And yet, I was turned off by the volatile community that would rage every time a mark was pulled, regardless of whether it was pulled early, on time, or what have you. I didn't derive any enjoyment from actually killing the mob, since it would die in 5 or 6 GCD's, then it's back on the choco and looking for the next.
I have no problem opting out of content that I don't want to do, but I'll agree, the implementation seems pretty skewed. Since hunts are casual content with hardcore rewards, of course the hardcore group will push out the casuals so they can farm their gear in the most efficient manner possible. I wouldn't expect a change in hunts any time soon, just let the worst of the community have their way with them. I'll wait to do hunts when the hype has died down, and raid in i99 until I get my high allag drops.

Capping everyone Allied Seals to 100 seals per day would be effective measure to slow the Hunt Frenzy. Or just put 600 seals per week. This will instantly cut a lot of players from doing nothing but Hunt while enable people to gear up for upcoming big patch without creating this toxic environment and bad attitude from players.

Honestly I think hunts just shows how bad vertical progress is and the dead end gear grinding can be. They have a soft ilvl cap @ 110 but no idea how to keep people grinding for more gear so add simple ability to upgraded soldiery gear to 110. Honestly customizing character and making the grind fun should be a key point in 3.0. There is a reason people use best in slot over equipping all the new stuff.
As far as hunts, the greater the challenge should equal the greater reward. That's game design 101. Hunts broke this rule and now you can see the results. Hindsight being what it is, SE should have made allied gear i95 or i100 and add sands to elite dungeons and EX Trials.
its amazing how many anti-hunt players are deluding themselves into thinking the reason the game is suffering because of the hunts...
only thing ruining this game are all the little whining crybabies. the toxic community which thinks that because they like content a certain way, that we all should be forced to do it their way.
Whether it was speed running cm, wp, ak, or bray, the players want fast seals to reach cap. period. The hunts give these players what they want. this is nothing new, and once the new content comes out people will find the activity there that offers the best seals per hour. Now, thanks to this community we cant leave a dungeon without a penalty even in formed groups.
You don't like the hunts the way they are, fine... just stfu already and go find something else to do then.
SE really needs to stop listening to the community, its so divided they can never win and all they end up doing is altering content to suit the crybabies...
i'm two alex from my novus and did barely no braySR, I can farm myth without spaming it.
-if i wanted a not SR CM/prae/AK i could build a pt for not SR.
-If i try to not overpeople zerg hunt NM, i get insulted/BL... by everybody for not waiting them, people reset my mobs and i get no fun and maybe no credit
imo current overzerg hunt is less fun that braySR
hunt could be fun if it were not overcrowed but since its unlimited high reward people just keep spam it even if they hate how it work
i don't care that people can full stuff their job faster than me, but i care that i can't enjoy content

Fingers crossed for patch 2.35 that they fix the over-rewarding that hunts bring to the game.
