    T7 phase 2 advice

    So my static is relatively new and as such we've just started on T7. Phase 1 of the fight we've got locked, but when the lamia's come out we run into problems. I was wondering if there are any tips or tricks people use at this phase (specifically BLMs as that's my main)?

    I know this is a pure DPS check, and that's where the issues crop up as the adds aren't getting burned fast enough (usually the first is just finishing when the second pops, and the second isn't even close by the time we get the third).

    Do groups have a specific place the OT moves the adds?
    At what point should the DPS pop their cooldowns?

    As a BLM are there any specifIc things I should do during that phase to help my group?

    Regarding my gear, i103 with Animus (Novus w/in a week), accuracy cap is met.

    OT should tank the Lamia a few talks away from the boss. Just enough in position where they or the add (mobs in T7 gain stacks from petrification abilities unless LoS'd).

    That said DPS should spread cooldowns for the first and second add. The goal is to kill the first add before Shriek goes off. Second add always pops after shriek goes off. Third add isn't as critical but still needs to die so do with as you please to this add

    Finally as a BLM, you can help with E4E and Virus if your healers aren't prepared enough, other then that NUKE the adds (also be careful with phase transitions. Improper phase transitions can wreck your group. This is much more prevalent at higher iLvls)

    the first add are the most importance (for my group anyway), so we pop CD on that. make sure you tank first add near boss for Shadow flare and Bane.
    on second add, if you don't have enough dps no worry just have MT voke 2nd add off OT then have OT run and grab 3rd add.

    TBH the boss doesn't hit that hard in T7 so MT should be able to save CD and tank both mob at the same time.

    For Lamias,

    we just have our OT tank the first one where it spawns, since you want to have it dead before Shriek anyways. Out MT tanks Melusine where the second Lamia spawns and just picks it up when it appears, and then the 3rd Lamia is picked up by our OT and taken to a safe area close to the MT because Shriek will be going off.

    Tricks to help with burning
    - have your OT be ready for 80% when the first Lamia spawns. They can prep Halone/Butchers off Melusine in order to grab solid hate on the Lamia when it appears.
    - the biggest dps loss will be playing tug of war on the mob with your tank, so if they can't grab solid hate, then you'd best be using an enmity reduction CD.

    BLM Tricks
    - Aetherial Manipulation to healers during Shriek, so that you can continue DPSing as much as possible before it goes off. (Fireball will go off just after Shriek, so GTFO)
    - Keep Thunder on Melusine for the proc to use on the adds, but don't cast thunder on the adds as they will die too quick.
    - Stay as far away from the adds as you can to increase your casting angle without being interrupted because the add moved to far in one direction.

    TBH though, since it is a DPS check, it might be a good idea to monitor the other players damage to see if someone is lacking. It's not a huge DPS check, but if 1 DD is lacking when using 2 tanks then it makes for a tough time. Ideally each DD wants to be pushing 270 DPS to comfortably get through the first add phase.

    We had some problems with the dps check at the first add wave too. After we switched from PLD OT to WAR OT it went alot smoother. If that is not helping or no option for you, tell your static to grab some potions (INT, DEX, STR) for the adds.

    Our OT tanks both the first and second add where they spawn. I tend to save most cooldowns for the second add myself but not sure how the others in my group handle it. It helps if everyone knows more or less exactly when the first add is about to pop. If you got a renaud spawn shortly before you pushed the phase there is also no risk on the first add for tanks to use aoe abilities without the fear of accidentally tagging a new renaud which can help to establish quick aggro.

    Edit: And there isn't really a dps check after the first set of adds in this fight.

    The last add will start casting hysteria/fear on random players after her third petrifaction, so this is also a dps check
