its kinda cool to see your name in the top 3 for somethings but its pretty basic. i guess it's better then nothing

Hmm not sure why people saying premade can carry people when there are two other alliances that can suck hard core and lose the game. Plus the q are way longer the more people you have, and imo it's not worth it. All of the people I know who are in the top 10 on my server usually solo q or q with 2-3 people tops. That is definitely not ground breaking to win the game. Not sure why most of these people on this forum are acting like people got carried.
i just dont understand?
I was wondering something similar. But one thing I was thinking about, since successive GC losses gives you a bonus to your PVP score with each match, if you're in a GC with multiple losses (i.e. noTwin Adders) that resets after a win, then if you spend time queuing and battling, and quit when it's clear it's a loss, you're just screwing yourself out of PVP rank points right? I'd always rather win than lose, but the last match I played we came in last and I got almost as many points as when we come in first.Wow, I suppose this is the reason why a lot of people have been leaving matches when they knew they were going to lose which is pretty silly as these rankings have no serious bearing at all. I wish it was based on individual ELO but I can see that being difficult to implement given all the variables that occur in matches between zergs.
It will be very interesting to see the next iteration of this because I recognize almost all the names on the rankings for my cluster/GC but I do not see most of those people any more and Adders has been a hot mess of losses ever since. I am certain I won't know any of the names in the next update.
If someone was on a many-game winning streak, sure quitting might keep that streak artificially inflated... and the benefits of extra points from an initial loss would be negligible...but being in Twin Adders, they're going to have to quit a lot of matches to keep that up and either their PVP rank is so high they don't care, or it's lower than it could be- meaning less action points to buy skill upgrades to be more effective with. Either way they're a liability by not sticking things out to do their best over the short and long haul.

no ppl leave matches when they know its an obvious loss because they got mad at being on Team Suck. they got sick of ppl's ish and can't bear being in a match full of bads. they came in to have fun with a real match but then get linked up with derps, feel like the match is a waste of their time so they'd rather take a 30 to get as far away from them as fast as possible rather than trying to play with a ruined gaming experience. who wants to play a game where you KNOW you're not going to get a heal. where you know you're team is not going to be able to capture flags, or kill the drones, or they know they're just going to get steamrolled at every attempt they make to achieve something in the game, because their team is so bad.
And besides, people were long doing that before anyone knew about the rankings coming out. Some ppl play FL for fun, and thus don't care about the points, so if there is no fun, why stay? they leave.
