Not a good comparison, IMO.
Their approach to RMT was actually decent, granted late, and it was a move that other MMO had in place for a while now (Refering to the limited whispers/shouts).
I get what you're saying, though. The development team for this game seems a bit outdated, despite their efforts to stay ahead of the game. Which is why we must continue to express our desires to improve and shape this game in the best direction possible.

Not surprisingly, the community can often come off as the same. Outdated/uninformed, as you can probably gather by reading some of the posts on this thread and a few others.
