For a little context, in order for them to change the boilerplate text for these announcements, they'd most likely be getting a lot more reports about some given thing, or dealing with something a lot more than they used to.

I doubt there's been a sharp increase in "parser" violations as most people talk about them (i.e., DPS meters). But there has most likely been a sharp increase in violations from hunts, i.e. Radar, a 3rd party tool that parses game data.

Yes, DPS meters are a violation of the user agreement. I wouldn't take this statement as being specifically directed at DPS meters, though. It's still Fight Club.
