Unable to complete storyline quest

Im currently on the lv 20 "we come in peace" storyline quest. However I have completed the quest but got no reward and the quest seems to go unchecked. Its still showing me a green turn in but I no longer have the Key item to turn in "Fresh Honey" because the NPC Amelain collected it on the 1st time I tried to turn it in. I am unable to abandon the quest because its storyline. I also can no longer try to get another "key item".
