Reminds me of the old "Boost" macros from FFXI. Boost was a MNK ability on a fifteen second timer that very slightly boosted your Attack for the next attack used.

This is actually only the second-longest Boost macro that I'd ever seen. The longest was more than a hundred lines long, and actually covered several boosts (a MNK could continue to stack boosts to pump attack higher and higher, as long as he didn't actually attack anything). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to track that one down, and it may be lost to the merciless ravages of time.

I use a Raise macro to show who I'm bringing back as well. Like other people have already mentioned, it saves the other healer's MP and swiftcast if they notice it, but that's not a huge deal. More importantly, the second line of the macro reminds the person being Raised that they will Raise where I cast the spell and that they should wait until a safe moment to respawn. It's saved me from more than one headache.

I might work in a macro with Shroud of Saints to announce my current MP level. Might actually help on some fights.

Berserk Macros with esuna requests isn't that great of a idea. Maybe a macro by itself to request for Esuna in those situations where you might need it. Like when you get pacified right when you pull the next group of mobs or something, and for some reason stumble over grabbing mobs with flash. Because half the time or more you don't need the esuna. I'm a WAR main, so i know sometimes you'd appreciate it. I've been thinking about making a macro for Vengeance to help WHMs know its a bit safer for them to holy spam if they want to(and can't see it on the party list). But again situational, so I would need to make a separate item on my action bar for it. Also because of battles like Diabolos I've been thinking about a Brutal Swing/Stun macro, because every time I'm there I swear someone complains, "omg man don't you know war can stun the sleep move????". And I'm like omg man don't you know I've been stunning it this whole time, and now it has built up resistance, or your dumb@A%^ stunned it to much? lol or those times you run into mobs that everyone gets excited about stunning, so you can let everyone else know you have stunned and they don't need to bother, and/or help the mob build resist faster. IMO though I feel like the resistance to stun building up so fast should be adjusted just a little bit.

nope! Using macros means I'm not seeing the abilities recast, which is terrible. I don't use macro's, so I can see the recasts.

I actually sometimes macro multiple skills to the one button, so I can just mash that button. I would usually make one of them the micon for the macro and put the rest on a horizontal hotbar above my cross hotbars. This is just so I can keep an eye on the cooldown. I do the same when I am in my first crosshotbar, I will have CDs from my second one there so I don't have to continually flick between the two just to watch the timers. Can see what I mean here:

Although I understand for keyboard and mouse users, they tend to use the hotbars and so might be limited but could just reverse it and use the cross hotbars instead to hold skills on cooldown.

/micon "ability name" will fix that.

If you want a BFB Macro that shows the CD, just use
    /micon "Blood for Blood"
    /ac "blood for blood" <t>

The only macro I use is that macro to make sure I don't slack my butt on when it comes to CD usage, since on PS4 I can't see 50 hot buttons at once:

    /micon "Blood for Blood"
    /ac "Blood for Blood" <t>
    /wait 86
/echo <se.2> Blood for Blood ready soon <se.4>

Just remember /wait macros will not stack, so you can't do that for all your CDs, it will only honor the most recently used one.

And to Barbie - that is a wicked good idea for me so that my abilities aren't out of sight out of mind in those intense moments.

The SC raise macro has never seemed to do me any good. I did try it for a while. But either I'm with my static and we say on mumble who is raising or if we even can, or it's a DF syrcus tower and 1) the other healer never raises, ever. or 2) We both SC raise at the same time or almost the same, wasting it anyway.

So I decided to save bar space and combine raise and SC into one macro. Most of the time when I hit SC it's for a quick medica one or two, anyway.

I do like that reminder to "raise when it's safe" idea. But I'm picky with how my hotbars look and I'm not sure I could fit it in a comfortable spot. I might just try to deal with it, cause I'm really pretty tired of "Why did you raise me right then?? That was stupid."

I love it when people tell me this, because then I don't have to justify me not throwing them another raise.

When I play SMN, I love to think that my Ressurection Macro with Swiftcast and telling who I am raising helps healers to focus on other targets.

Like anything, if you don't abuse with overlong text or constant noise, it should help. Useful for those who don't use VoiceChat Programs.

Sometimes everyone is soo into their fights that they fail to check some mechanics. It ain't bad for the rest to use a /p Attention! <se.> when something big is coming, specially if you already wiped, explained, and still wipe ^^

    To use it everytime? Nope.

I make sure to have the macro and the real skill as well. Takes more space, but saves me from pressing enter, typing, then enter, instead of mashing action buttons and kite..

You can then keep track of the cooldowns and as well know when this macro would annoy more than anything.

They just wanted to lay down and leech a kill; you are so bad to make them work again..

Our group doesn't use VOIP. Macros with /p and <se> are very helpful.

I spam the one for Blighted Bloom in T6, Twisters, and even have a divebomb macro that counts down when the 2nd set will occur for T5. Back in the early days I used one to call out Plumes on Titan. Even pickups appreciated having another indication if they got lost in the rotation at some point. Helps a bunch.

It's also nice for Silence rotations on my BRD/MNK.

EDIT: That being said, I don't use these in regular dungeons. I swap to the regular ability.
