I tend to agree with your overall assessment of the situation, Kaitlin. I, myself, am saving towards buying the largest personal house available. Of course it stands to reason that others will be doing the exact same thing.

Perhaps the wise long-term plan would be to start saving up mats now for when personal housing is released in 2.4 (2.38?). It is a pretty solid bet that people who can afford a house, will also want to furnish said house.

I could further speculate (the myth materials market comes to mind)... but I will save you the long-winded theorizing.
