    Must have skills?

    Heya Pugilist forums!

    Now that 1.18 is out I am curious on what are some must have skills to be using on pugilist?

    So far all my skills that I have been getting have been kinda underwhelming. Now that I am partying pretty much full time Jarring and Haymaker never see use anymore. Light strike costs mp to use. Concussive Blow and Seismic are really underwhelming for being 1k tp and flurry and pummel have long cool downs and mp cost too.

    What happened to Pugilist being the combo multi hit kings to now being the one hit wonder(less)?

    It seems like the last 10 levels I have gotten nothing useful at all and only have Pounce to look forward to but I feel that will be just as disappointing.

    Well, i still use Jarring and simian alot. Its specially good at dungeons since you have clusters of weak mobs so you often do random evades. I never was fond of Haymaker so i didn't even try it still (after 1.18).

    About WSs, i keep Concussive and Brutal Swing II (with axemanship it often will outdamage Concussive blow II), aura pulse for AoE and vic2 for when someone get me pissed. If you use high parrying weapon you can also use Foresight + Fracture.

    I'm using very little pounce, follow through, blindside or discerning eye since patch tho. Light strike is good to use during the downtime of featherfoot id you still have TP to increase evade chance.

    Flurry ad Pummel makes me cry nowaday...i hate the 1 min recast on them...i often use them alternated to open fights so i can often start with already good TP.

    I just started leveling MRD and almost cried when I seen Skull Sunder does about the same damage as Concussive Blow II for half the tp even!

    I tried using Victimize but at 2k tp for a little bit more damage than Concussive Blow II didn't really seem worth it when I could just Aura Pulse -> Concussive Blow for over twice the damage without suffering from missing a vict an losing a whole 2k+ tp.

    Vic is only good at 3k TP...actually all WS with 2k+ TP cost should be used only at 3k tp for full power.

    Skull Sunder does is one of the best WS of this game...one of my favs also! I just don't use them because of slashing damage type. I prefer using bblunt damage WS as PGL due weapon modifiers (only baghnakhs have slashing modifier). You can use Trammel and Feint too (both from LNC) since many of PGL weapons also have piercing damage...its almost the same as skull sunder, but adding gravity instead of DoT.

    For attack use Skullsander 2, Heavy Trammel (500TP each - good damage), Concussive Blow 2, Aura Pulse for AOE and Victimize 2 with 3000TP (gets stronger the more TP you use).

    I also use Light Strike now (never used it before since it would take space on bar) and Flurry, but only for oppening fights or when I wanna use a counter attack.

    For counters I use Jarring Strike and Simian Thrash If I have 3000 TP, I never use Haymaker.
