How to get around to the Major Cities...

Just started a few days ago and found out that my THM can literally be any character class and any tradeskiller I want. Being a variety lover and a heavy crafter. I need to find out how to get around to the various Major Cities for each class and craft trainers. I'm 13 THM, 5 PGL right now.. how do I get to say Gridinia or Limsa Lominsa from Ul'Dah? My FC says to simply do the story quests and they've been lvl 50 for some time so they forget the details. What do I need to do to travel in this game? Thanks in advance!

Seriously. If you just keep up with the main story quests you will eventually gain airship access.

15 man, then you'll get airship access. After make sure you attune to any crystals you see. Small city aethers are great, but there nothin like riding the deep aether from cities and various camps and outlying areas.

Get 15 AND do story quests. Level 15 alone is not enough just focus on story until you get travel pass, then you learn in every city you visit all classes.

once u hit lvl15 i think u get airship pass or maybe 20 i forgot but after that its easy to travel between towns and remember to always atune to ather crystals so u can teleport or return to a spot u want to go to

actually u can travel to Gridania by walking.. Uldah -> Central Thanalan -> Eastern Thanalan -> South Shroud -> Central Shroud -> Gridania.. but at ur current level, u'll encounter the mobs along the road that may attack u.. but trust me, it's fun when u r still low level and u feel the 'danger' when u r exploring the world.. during my first time in this game, when i was still a low level, i travel from Gridania to Uldah by walking.. and it's fun!! but u must be careful..

I remembered being so paranoid in XI and in XIV 1.19. I remember a mid level 30s quest in Mor Dhona and there was absolutely no safe path, so I took the shortest path from Gridania. Died twice before an LS mate taught me about sight and sound agro. Made it to Mor Dhona no problem but it still took a long time, lol

Good times were had. The frustration I had then can only be something I laugh about today
