It's a tedious, irritating process that is easily remedied by returning to the excellent system Final Fantasy XI used. I don't know why this hasn't been addressed sooner, I can't be the only person who finds it infuriating?

(Edit. I now realise this is about the 100th thread on the same subject, so apologies for that, but the point is still valid).
Once they allow addons, this wont be much of an issue. Markets in WoW and other games can be managed through addons like Auctioneer, and it helps to quickly adjust prices to a set amount. One gil under lowest, % under lowest, ect. They can keep the current setup, just give us basic addons to help improve our quality of life.

Not really, it would just speed up everyones current process. Addons dont make prices drop, they only provide a better quality of life for everyone using the market.

XI had a bad system I don't want it in XIV. The only change they would need to make is being able to buy X amount out of a stack instead of being forced to buy all of them. Marketboard fixed.

Why wouldnt they? I can see them being allowed as time goes on - if im not mistaken, they already allow parsers to view damage, right?

Auction addons are a great boon, they help out a lot for those who use them.

I liked this about the FFXI 'Auction House', you actually bid on it, usually referencing the Sale history, but sometimes a seller could have just tossed something up for 1 gil and you could get lucky lol.

    nah, this would be terrible.

the only change needed as said earlier, is allow players to buy units from a stack.

    I object this suggestion.
It will make tax and charge difficult to calculate, selling history and retainer log over-flow,
most important is now small qty could be listed at higher price, it is predictable the suggestion "buy from a stack" will ruin the market.

For example, when everyone can buy 1piece of cystal shard by the same price for buying 1000pc,
all smaller qty will be forced to list cheaper than the 1000pc seller,
and the 1000pc seller, ofcoz, need to list cheaper than everyone.

Lol please. The market is healthy when it comes to items that are worth selling. Old items that are useless or for vanity have lower sales unless it's a really new item (PJs) or a trend is going on. Prices also fluctuate and bounce back up to the original pricing unless there is a change in demand and supply.

Here's a three week sample of my 3 month data of the Water Cluster Market.
