That is speculation as with Leucrotta it has been spawned many times by ignoring Chimera's completely it's funny after entire expansion people are still misinformed about some stuff on S ranks same with the 5 chain nonsense on Senmurv

You know that it is possible that some people have killed a certain type of monster before you've arrived there? Via leveling or whatever there is.

Also explain why Senmurv has always showed up after the 5th FATE. Like do you really think this is all but just a coincidence?

There's several ways to see if an S Ranks pops and it all must be coincidence that once you fullfill that "theory", as you see it, they suddenly show up. I also think Santa Claus exists.

Senmurv has popped on 2nd fate or 13th fate or 20th+ fate sometimes most people on Balmung who are hardcore hunters have called the 5th fate as wrong anytime someone posts it.


With Leucrotta the 50th kill thing it's nice to use as a guideline but it's been spawned by killing the other 2 mobs 170ish times and no one actively killing the Chimera when checking them saying it's a set number is just a theory that is hard to prove one way or the other regardless.

I've always been able to ignore chimera because it was ALWAYS safe to assume somone was farming or had recently farmed chimeras for their manes. (to the point where I actively told ppl helping me pop Leucy not to go bother with chimera till we were done with the other 2) Less so now that it's no longer starter top tier cloth. in 3.0 there were only 2 times I had to go kill chimeras. Recently its more often that we have to kill chimeras.

Remeber all /3/ mobs are daily hunt marks, and its a zonewide counter. People killing stuff for their daily mark can add to the daily kill count by doing dailies. It doesn't reset, we don't know when the server decides to turn it on. So it could turn on 97 hour in, someone goes farms manes at 100 hours. Someone goes in at 118 hours and kills hydras and voiuvires, voila non chimera leucy pop.

Semmy has never popped with less than 5 fates done for us. It may take more but it has never popped with less. We can usually tell when starting the first fate if the fate has been done at least once before we started - that's the only time where it mght pop sooner than 5.

Once I was in zone semi afkish I was watching cerfs being done by people cause of SB levelling rush, It was late and the zone had died down. No one was killing cerfs at this point so I went in and killed it voila Semmy pop OMG was it #1? no because I'd see it being done throughout the day. No one can be sure that it popped with less than 5 unless they deliberately watched it fail at least once and it popped with less than 5 fates. (I've only inadvertantly failed it and had do 5 fates minimum every time)

Then there was the time I misssed a cerfs at 130 hours. 138 hours before fate #4. It did not pop till 140+ with fate #5

Side note: Balmung is not the only server with "hardcore hunters", and "hardcore hunters" from smaller servers are far more valuable than stacked servers, because they can test things with very little outside interference, there was a time that no one did fates in forelands in lower pop servers, so it was pretty easy to confirm the clearing of cerf's up 5 times to spawn senmurv.

Very true. Never forget that low pop servers informations are far more valuable than the high pop ones for the single reason there's no one around doing anything that could have an effect or not on what you do. Saddly, I think Balmung is one of the servers with the least potential to confirm anything, unless it's something like Gamma / Nandi / Kaiser that spawns right on top of you with a minion.

At this time, my own server, Moogle, isn't the best either, what's worse, people are using bot now, and even better, we got a small annoying group spawning things on their own and not sharing anything with the others.

Despite being high pop, I can confirm from the Gilg "hardcore hunters" that the known triggers for Sen and Leu are accurate. Despite the masses of hunters (although less so in the last 2 weeks) there is only a limited amount of people willing to do triggers for S ranks here and almost all of us coordinate efforts. Hard data and exact numbers for Azys kills are easy but obviously the Fringes is completely different story so Udumbara's conditions is virtually impossible to figure out here.

Gamma i3 - 89 hours. Haven't seen anything to contradict Gamma, SnL, Bone Crawler being the 85+ bracket (same as HW) while other 3 are 92+.

60+ killed Yumemi for Okina i3 with over 148 hours on Shiva - still no spawn.

Okina i2 was just there when I entered the instance with about 147 hours.


edit: So I finallly managed to spawn Okina in i3, but this time I counted my kills.

In total I cleared 16 caves - 7 south-east clears, 7 south-west clears and 2 northern clears.

The south-east cave contains 3 naked yumemi and 3 normal yumemi. With 7 clears that's 21 naked and 21 normal.
The south-west cave contains 3 naked yumemi and 2 normal yumemi. With 7 clears that's 21 naked and 14 normal.
The northern cave contains 2 naked yumemi and 2 normal yumemi. With 2 clears that's 4 naked and 4 normal.

In total that's 46 naked yumemi and 39 normal yumemi.

There was one person in this instance doing some leveling stuff - he cleared the south-east cave on his own which puts the killcount to 49 naked yumemi and 42 normal yumemi.

Okina spawned after killing one additional naked yumemi which puts the killcount to exactly 50 killed naked yumemi and 42 normal yumemi.

So... location does not seem to matter for where you toss stuff for Salt and Light. 5 ppl in zone, 4 ppl afk at Porta, with me as the 5th. I thew some items into the loch, nothing. Since the zone was so dead I started flying around and tossing stuff and got a pop (This happened as well with the friend that tossed something and had salt & light spawn in his face - aka he did not toss at lochs, but was lucky enough to be at the spot S&L decided to pop)
