    Because the devs are oblivious as to what the majority actually want when it comes to content they don't consider a high priority or to be "outdated".

    I still don't understand the mentality of people who enjoy being trolls at hunts by defying what's consider common etiquette and earning the ire of the hunt community for no tangible gain other then maybe saving a minute or two of your life.

    It's precisely those people I'm going to be concerned about once the floodgates are opened in 4.5.

    Pretty sure no one enjoys Diadem and it remains unchanged. Everyone expected a pokemon-lite from LoVM and they still haven't dumped their mini RTS.

    Devs action/inaction has more to do with how they prioritize things than what the community wants, they are really bad at following the latter.

    This may be the case for your Server .. but on every EU Server I've been on and every Spawngroup I've been a part of there are more than half people that spawn every day and every night that complain about the current system and the "leeching community" (sorry for naming it that way, but it's the easiest to describe what I wanna say).

    People are asking for a scaling system for hunts since 3.x.
    I know a lot of Spawners who enjoy Eureka NMs because they don't die in a heartbeat and they are actually kinda challenging.
    It's the same way when new expansions launch. The A/S Ranks will murder you and THAT is the fun part about open world bosses. They need to be hard. It's endgame content for a reason. Even casual players are able to kill them, even if it means you die a few times. It's not savage, but open world bosses that died in 10 seconds? Come on ... really ... And basically everyone can get a full reward even if you're late to the party.

    As someone who spawned a lot and still tries to be a help besides working for 9 to 10 hours five days a week I feel kinda offended when someone says I don't have a right to complain. Everyone has a right to complain IF you can bring arguments. Which we have. Many times. It just gets ignored or laughed about because people want things to stay easy.

    And this is the problem - if they don't bring a counter-messure into the system .. The Hunt will go down with a bang because of people from outside interfering with an ecosystem, basically. I hope people will understand what I mean with that.
    We know they wanna push this narrative of big open servers where you can wander arround freely - but this only works IF you are willing to change or adjust what is already there.

    The Hunt System is in need of a change for a long time now. There was no adjustments for 3.0. There was no adjustments for 4.0. If there are no adjustments for 5.0 I think we can say that the system is dead and all the fun will be gone as soon as every spawn condition has been found.

    So hypothetically they add a shield to it so it cant be attacked within a certain amount of time...maybe a leve S spawns by a non-hunter...by the time it is found and relayed the shield has worn amd people will call for a longer time or further change.

    Bottom line is that any change will have unforeseen consequences and will likely never solve the issue some people have of not being able to get the credit they think they are entitled to.

    No system is perfect, but no system should cater to people who want to finish a dungeon they just started and only then get to the hunt. A fate's level sync system already exists in the game and will alleviate a lot of the existing concerns. It will also give hunts some of their bite back, which is something a lot of the old content in the game is missing as time progresses.

    I think we can all agree that a NM-like synching system would be the best to solve certain problems. Right now if we spawn ARR/HW S at peak times, ARR are dead within max 3 seconds, hw not much longer. we >already< have the "problem" that looking away for just a sec could mean you don't get your credit because you can't hit it in time. I don't even want to think about what's gonna happen with ARR S-Ranks in 5.0 if they don't change the system in some way. And pls SE, give S-Ranks an immunity when BLU hits 60 and gets lvl 5 death...

    Most of the time its not the people who make it spawn are the ones early pulling though.Its generally the ones who use hunt radar.They dont contribute towards the hunts but apparently its ok for them to ruin the hunts for everyone else.(This is an illegal tool btw)
    If you hunted on Odin server you'd understand a bit more.It's the most toxic server on any database for hunts.You literally cant hunt there fullstop.
    It's part of the reason i moved server as personally i love hunting.
    Im on Zodiark now and its probably the best and friendliest player community out there.
    As for the hunts early pulling there doesnt exist.Even organised trains are called out and everybody hunts the stormblood A ranks together and in a decided order by the groups.There is no drama because of this.Everyone just gets along and helps each other with hunting as opposed to haveing a 'me, me' attitude towards hunting.

    Now .. can we just go over the three questions asked about The Hunt and answered by Yoshi-P on his visits on the JP DC?*

    Q: In regards to Mob Hunt, with the current system and state and with the introduction of the World Teleportation system… Please make adjustments to the Hunts.

    Yoshida:
    There might be some chaos in the beginning, but I think players will adjust by making their own rules. Of course, there will be cases when the mobs will be defeated stealthily, but the current closed state of the servers is not good in our opinion. We will keep watch and if the state becomes too severe, we will think of changes.
    This is downright nonsense. People tried to implement unofficial rules for a long time now. The state of The Hunt is already severe depending on the server with people standing AFK at an Aetheryte and waiting for a S Rank to spawn to get noticed by a third party program ... How much more severe shall it get with leechers early pulling hunts as soon as they arrive?
    We already HAVE chaos on not so few servers. Is this a thing where it is: "On JP it's working fine."? "[...], but the current closed state of the servers is not good in our opinion." - Yeah, this may be true for some aspects of the game, but The Hunt is a system in a long overdue for a change, like it or not. Many, many spawners already get nightmares of just thinking about what a disaster this can turn into.

    Q: Please make it so that the weather changes when S mobs pop.

    We don’t want to make S mob pop’s more obvious than they currently are. I think it isn’t too suited for the game.
    The only thing obvious is that you a) can see them all over the map and b) third party programs can read the memory to give callouts if a S Rank spawned. But beside that I actually agree, we don't need a weather change or some other stuff to get notified. Scouting is part of The Hunt, it's not a FATE. Although a level syncing or scaling system for Hunt Mobs according to how many players are present would be good. -cough- Make them challenging again! Make. them. hard. to. defeat! Even casual players are able to do that ...

    Q: There is a chance that third party websites for reporting defeat times will become useless, so can you do something in that regard; for example, have the servers notify us.

    Please go to the forums in regards to the topic of Hunts. In my opinion, a game with defeat times announced is no longer a game.
    A few of them are already useless. Ariyala is not willing to change the timers to the correct ones even though they have been send to Ari over seven months ago. On Louisoix we are already using a seperate tracker for our S Ranks where only our spawners and/or a few trusted people can report a S Rank so it's not being screwed with by trolls.
    So we basically already have a system to report dead hunts, it's not like an official tracker would be that much - and it hasn't changed The Hunt in a bad way, it's still a game with their random opening ...

    Sadly, it's in-line with more content they released recently. I went into Pagos with some friends tonight and we ended up getting a dead instance. Got in just before the instance got locked so it was only us. We prepped what we could given weather restrictions and the spawning was rather sporadic. Some NMs spawned about as soon as we hit the 30th kill, some spawned randomly afterward. A lot of them didn't spawn at all despite us being in there long enough for them to have came off cooldown even if they were killed just before we came in there. So sadly, it seems like they're not going to move away from content where you don't know
    1. if you're doing the right thing (for instance, I don't think Cassie has a proper, reliable system yet, equivalent to Agrippa and Rider, as well as early Udumbara),
    2. if it's even worth doing (window is actually open).

    Gotta double down on that artificial content padding I guess. Because I so spend my sub riding the chocobo porter back and forth instead of, you know, actually play the game until Bone Crawler is really open.
