    The direction of the game hmm...how can I put this in a context that is not obtuse or condescending? I feel like the game is not progressing but more stuck in a rut, the play feels as if your babied the whole way throughout and not allowed to freely explore the advantages of having all the classes and jobs on one character. The potential to allow people to be unique and different is there, but it locked up behind bars and the key seems to be lost to the developer that people don't mind if their are things that can be taking advantage of. That is what makes games enjoyable is the fact that I can feel a sense of enjoyment from being able to accomplish something that I dreamed of. In this game the forced nerf's of redoing old dungeons, the lack of dps potential because of perceived imbalance and feeling like your char hasn't truly become any stronger i.e. "pld still takes 4 attacks to kill a lvl 30 single enemy when their lvl 50 and fully geared" has left me waiting till my sub runs out to walk away from it. There are tons more issues, but the fact that I don't seem to see any progress with my char makes me feel that its just as useless as when I first started this game. All in all they need to make the game not feel so stuck in a one dimensional place. The world is vastly unexplorable, there is no swimming of any kind, it just feels really poorly implemented at this point. Were in freaking 2014 and MMO's feel more like crap now than they did in 2006.

    I think so far the game is pretty good apart from the occasional fiasco, aka... HUNT.... We definitely need more harder dungeons to set apart the crowd into three tiers, casuals everyone (which should be fine with the currents dungeons), semi hardcore (need more dungeons), and hardcore (coils). People want something to aspire to, a goal so to speak, and tiered challenges. Some gears should definitely require more efforts, skills, and strategy to attain. I am fine with them giving everyone a chance at getting starting gears (level 80-90) but Hunt is just broken right now. Do need more horizontal gears rather than all these vertical gears climb.

    I made a thread that has a few of my thoughts on how combat could be improved. If you search for it I'm sure you would be able to find it. To sum up what I said in that thread...

    1) Distinguish between localized heals and ranged heals so that monsters can have AI's that will take advantage of players trying to make too much use of either (either encouraging monsters to try flanking the healer if he is ranged healing, or encourage the use of AoE attacks if players clump up all the time).

    2) Use more non-elites that have specialized strategies for taking down individual players instead of elites, and tanks should be more limited in the number of monsters they can hold aggro on at any given time. This way the DPS have some opportunity to contribute some actual team work instead of just being the guys who take advantage of it all the time. Actually, most fights shouldn't even be elites because it just leads to tanks being the center of the universe and forcing the design of the game to gimp their damage.

    3) Take into account a monster's detection range when calculating threat. Standing in plain view of a dragon boss that is currently being tanked by a paladin while throwing heals at that tank should generate tremendous threat, if not serving as an outright taunt mechanic. Threat management as a group thing forces others to stop and consider their actions as opposed to just monotonously doing the same thing over and over again.

    Lol Why are you trying to personally attack me now? How childish are you? You don't have to agree but really? I've cleared the extreme mode primals and I've done mog and levi. Also I don't watch videos, I go into everything blind because I feel videos are for baddies. Never played a mmo before where you must watch videos before entering dungeons. Anyone can just throw around blind ASSumptions when they feel they are losing or have nothing to say other than " I CIOL 50 BRUH" Lol I love how you know nothing about me, yet you know everything I've done in game. ._. GG
    So because you don't watch videos other players are forced to teach you all the mechanics they learned from videos or carry your dead body to victory

    No, it's a shame that some people can't be bothered to learn them before joining a group and have to be taught the mechanics at the expense of someone else's time. This isn't a single player game, this is an MMO designed so that fight mechanics can't be learned in a standard amount of time vs other types of games for the sake of longevity. The reason all the fights are scripted is because the information is meant to be shared via interwebs for everyone to learn. They just don't want people clearing new instances the day they get implemented

    this is so backwards. if the mechanics were something you could actually grasp during a battle or were included in some earlier content for preparation it wouldn't be such a hassle. but they're overly obscure and encounter-specific, so your experience in other stuff doesn't help you when those one shot mechanics come after your ass.

    bad design isn't countered by "mandatory" preparation you have to do outside the game. it's just that: bad design that causes a lot of headaches for everyone.
