i havent had issues with pvp, and only have issues with s rank and 1-2 a ranks. behemoth/odin and s ranks still have a lot of lag, but several hundred sometimes show up for those.
The PS4 uses the PC interface and my understanding is that the in-game quality is the same as a high-end PC. Several of my friends have it and only notice any slowdown when there are several hundred people at a hunt or Odin/Behemoth but that stuff slows down anyone. They went from PS3 to PS4 and say that "the game is actually playable" lol
Ps4 is stable. Only problems lie with S and A ranks disappearing
so, i didnt think it was on the level of pc, but i guess it is. ps4 is very good for this game
Difference between PS3 and P4 is huge. The frame rate is stable, the loading times are short. The only issues you might notice are hunts and odin/behemoth as others said. Thing is that it kills v. good PCs of my buddies as well, the S hunt disappearing is issue with code from devs, not your machine i believe - was same with Odin/Behemoth before they fixed it.
Visuals are great, my eyes were like O_O after I switched from Ps3![]()

Noob question I know, but what is an SSD?
A solid state drive. No moving parts or discs like hard disc drives. Access times are much faster regardless of where the information is physically located on the drive (ie. there basically is no such thing as fragmenting). I don't know what sort of bandwidth the PS3/4 uses, but a SSD should be able to keep it capped when transferring data, whereas a HDD has to spin up and search over several discs -- usually falling way behind the SATA bandwidth cap.
