Yes.

Most that are doing 1 star can do so easily enough. Can also hq easily enough if they really want. I want to be able to quick synth a bunch of 1 star for desynthesis. Heck, give me a warning of "quick synthing this item will guarantee NO hq" or something like that.

Because what's the point of the 1 star stuff if you can do 3 star? It's like doing a regular level 50 recipe with 2 star melds, you overgear it anyways. I gave an example, if you can give me something better, go for it, but imo 350 craftmanship (full melds before Artisan Tool) feels too low because you're just barely above 2 star anyways

I totally agree with this. I'm assuming that the reason you can't quick synth one-star items is because, when they came out, they were relatively difficult to make. Quick Synth would have either failed too much and been a huge waste of expensive mats, or succeeded too much, which would have been too strong. With really high craftsmanship, this is irrelevant, it'll always succeed whether you quick synth or manual synth.

Another possible reason for it was to increase the value of high end mats and keep their prices reasonably high, which is good for the economy. However, there are now two tiers of crafting mats beyond the one-star mats, so that's no longer relevant.

Ingenuity II > Careful Synthesis II, quick little macro

I used it to make a few stacks of 1 star mats a week or so ago. Would have been nice to use quick synthesis, but I was able to spiritbond DoL gear with no fails. Artisan weapon, 1 star offhand, and patrician's coat gives enough craftsmanship to attempt them.
