There's nothing square can do about people who decide to pull after someone asked for everyone to wait. There's no rule that says you have to listen to another player on waiting to attack a mob on the world map.

If everybody gets 100% credit even with the reset = everybody is happy
BUT
There are times when some people who should be getting 100% contribution get 0% after the reset due to dying or status effects like petrification = this is disruptive and can be considered as harassment

Early pulls on the other hand, is not illegal / reportable. It's just a matter of respect to others if you do it or not.
not in my server, for now
As much as I'd like some to be reset I don't believe it is fair to those that make it there in time. Through the communication of linkshell or shout, players usually have time to make it before a pull and if they don't, then tough luck and there are plenty of others. However, being nice shouldn't get you banned or kicked for trying to please others.
Referencing a fate that most should know but I don't know the name, but the cyclops in coerthas that resets if main aggro runs out because they don't want to die. Why not ban everyone that resets the fate?
Basically, in my opinion I don't believe resetting should be disciplined to PC's due to faulty programming. Much like how people thought turn 2 enrage was against tos at first either. Either it's a glitch they need to work out and redo so it's more favorable towards players or live with what they gave us and let the players figure it out.
I've done enough hunts that my PLD has 5 unweathered armor pieces and my SCH has 2. I need to get off my butt and do more, but I've been more concerned with our new FC house and working up to 3 star crafting. To me, this whole thing has never been about what's right and wrong, but what's allowable under the rules. Like I said before, I appreciate people that wait. It's very nice of them to share that way. As for resets, I've actually directly benefitted from people resetting the mark; I've also been negatively impacted by it. *shrugs*Honestly, I feel like I've probably done more hunts than most people in this thread, and most people just roll with the punches from early pulls or resets. I think it's more of an issue on the forums than it is among people who actually do hunts.
Definitely entertaining to talk about, though.
Well, heres 2 examples that i think should really be cleared up.
Example A:
All party members but one get there in time, I reset for my party member to get there and get credit, no ill will intended or shown for those that may die to the easily avoidable mechanics (yes, they are so incredibly easy, even for ps3 players)
Example B:
Reset just for the sake of resetting then dancing and loling on the dead bodies.
I could see how example B would be griefing. but i am in no way griefing others if resetting only to help my party mate out. The shoe can be put on the other foot and say that not resetting is griefing PS3 players who loading times are god-awful. Its disrupting their gameplay just as much as it is those who are there and die to the very easy mark mechanics.
Example A is the equivalent of Example B for anyone that just wanted to kill it that are already there. Which has been the whole point here. Disrupting people that are already there killing it like was intended. That doesn't include someone that's late or still loading in as much everyone wants it to be.
you can try to find any good reason to do it, however, the fact is... if you reset the fight of another player, whatever the reason you can be sure to get reported and maybe have trouble, because it's against ToS. you can't try to talk this all the day, the fact are this.
if you reset the fight of someone else that are not ok with this, it's simply griefing. you can or will be reported and you can have trouble for this.
Hunt are not fair, that like this, if you are not ready to accept this, i advice you to stop doing it.

Example A: If others are fighting the mark and you reset it for your party member, you are griefing those others and they can report you for interrupting their gameplay.
As for the PS3 comment, how can you grief someone who is not there and not involved in the fight? A player trying to get to the mob but is still on the other side of the map is not being griefed, they are just out of luck.
As a tank on my server who actively hunts (and finds many of the hunts that I do myself) I will continue to reset mobs when people shout and ask for it. I have never on my server had the issue of people not getting credit for a reset, and have only seen it benefit others. If someone pulls early and my party is not all there, I will also reset the mob so everyone has a chance to receive full credit. I have seen people grief by pulling as soon as they show up when many are clearly waiting on party members (hunts were designed to be done in parties btw,) and I always reset when this happens.
