I vote for this!If response amounts had anything to do with executive decision making, every Summoner would be in full glowing High Allagan with a full sized Titan Summon zombie mode behind them, Dragoons would be flying around on dyed pink Svara mounts that breathe whatever substance they fancy at the moment for 11,000 damage, and people would be complaining that they need more inventory spaces because it keeps flooding with Atma.
So much truth in thereIf response amounts had anything to do with executive decision making, every Summoner would be in full glowing High Allagan with a full sized Titan Summon zombie mode behind them, Dragoons would be flying around on dyed pink Svara mounts that breathe whatever substance they fancy at the moment for 11,000 damage, and people would be complaining that they need more inventory spaces because it keeps flooding with Atma.![]()
100% agree here... lolIf response amounts had anything to do with executive decision making, every Summoner would be in full glowing High Allagan with a full sized Titan Summon zombie mode behind them, Dragoons would be flying around on dyed pink Svara mounts that breathe whatever substance they fancy at the moment for 11,000 damage, and people would be complaining that they need more inventory spaces because it keeps flooding with Atma.
Also, what I don't understand is if there are people happily playing the game on their PCs why are they coming into this forum to make the possibility a big 'no-no'? Seeing the comments that poke fun at the operating system is easy to do when you can play the game already, but some of us don't have the same products. Yes you can say it's my fault for owning a mac, but I actually get a lot done with it and there are perks to it just like how most video games can run on the PC. So if anything, we all have different uses for our operating systems, but the gaming world is constantly growing. For example, what if business consumers decided it was a great idea to just keep movies and shows on television? It's like saying "Oh, putting movies and streaming videos online would be an awful business decision and it's stupid" when we all know it's actually more prevalent than watching programs on television these days.

Please, Mac version!
It's just another type of fanboy-ism. It's impossible for some people to accept that both Windows and Mac can be good but for different reasons in the same way that it is impossible for some to accept that XB1 and PS4 can both be good, etc. In both cases, some people prefer one, and some people prefer the other. In the case of macs, one can of course argue that Apple does not do a great job of supporting gaming on their platform, which is definitely true... but not a great argument that any particular game should ignore the Mac platform.
The fact is, there is a subset of mac owners who do not own Windows PCs, and are not interested in dual booting Windows, that would be interested in trying the game if it was released for the mac. These people may not even be existing Final Fantasy fans, but would try it simply because it would then be a new option among the extremely limited set of options available to them (in terms of major MMOs, I think WoW is still pretty much it on the mac). I'd like to see it happen, as I have a couple of friends who I could probably convince to give it a go if they could play it on their mac.
OSX{ Truth of Mountains }
More ps3 systems on the market than a niche operating system.
Projected sales of ps4 to surpass that of a niche operating system.
Potential user base is a pretty important figure when making these decisions. People running mac sometimes seem to forget that they are hipsters and are not on something that is anywhere near the most popular system. That does come with drawbacks.
Niche OS
Holy cumquat (thats a fruit) you probably also think iPods aren't selling and still pray to your Zune.
OSX Niche. My common sense is crying.
I'd love a Mac port!
I'm running FFXIV on an iMac now, with mid-high level GFX settings, and it's a 3+ year old model too. Currently I dual boot my system with Windows 7 (ironically my iMac runs Windows faster and better than any PC I've ever owned) and play FFXIV on there. It'd be pretty sweet to not have to switch my OS to play though, could just bounce between my freelance work and my FFXIV as I please.
A Mac port would be especially badass when I get around to upgrading to a newer model too, I think when I do, I'll try out FFXIV on max GFX settings haha!
While OS X isn't as ubiquitous as Windows, when the latest version of the OS is installed on 40 million computers, http://www.engadget.com/2014/06/02/a...icks-and-more/ - that in itself kind of removes its niche status. I do think this is still a "Windows world", but right now, the alternative options are gaining mind-share. And while the aforementioned number doesn't equate to actual users, Apple does have a significant user base that Square should not ignore, I think. I'd be willing to buy another license just to play the game on OS X.

Dunno if SE thinking to native compile the game for Mac... GW2 as example used a third-party wrapper to let it run on Mac, and works good, no need to make a dedicated binary. Maybe an option.
Will be great if some geek here around will try to run this itself, using tools as wineskin. I wonder how it will works.
How about a port to the new iPhones? If you can remote play with a Vita this game should be able to run on an iPhone...
