I'd like to believe that the artists don't have much to do with the number nerds. Animations on the other hand, yes probably do. Regardless, if I end up looking like everyone else, I'll hit the road. I'm not saying it's as important, but I feel it is important.

The game is still very new, they will always be adding new recipes for armor, I say give the game another 6 months and we will have plenty of armor types to choose from for each class. I just hope we get better stat itemization on gear.

Maye having the option to change the color to NM gear or rare gear using certain items or disciplines of hand.. This will bring uniqueness to class and give you more options to color

Yes, let's have the art team focus on making 10 redundant items just so everyone can be a unique little snowflake.

Instead of, like, adding entirely new equipment, or new zones, or new monsters, or anything else that would be significantly more impactful in the game than having a bunch of same-y crap to make you feel pretty.

They already offer multiple colors of a lot of items to give people some flexibility, and frankly that's plenty. Dev resources are not unlimited, and people feeling pretty should be an INCREDIBLY low priority.

More options to dye or color something, after it's made would also be helpful.

I wouldn't know. In my experience looks have always been a very important factor in a players' attachment to a character.

And players' attachment to their character has always been an important factor in that player staying to play a game.

You know I don't really think it matters whats more important. these forums are here for pple to tell the developers what they want. And if people want more fashion then they should be able to ask for it.

And I agree, everyone's going to look like clones by the end unless they make the clothes more unique, or more ways to customize, but they still need to keep the armor recognizable too, people wont know the armor your wearing if it looks too different from the original. -- There's a lot of factors to consider. I would say adding more color options. Like a bright pink Silver Tricorne -- no idea why someone would do that but the choice is always nice..

i believe the changes mentioned above will make more players staying in the game then say, "hey look I can pick a blue or yellow belt for my char! coo!

Sigh, so many beautiful graphics, can't manipulate any of them.

    Sad panda.

+1 to more options at character creation. They promised it would be MUCH better than FFXI, but really for today's standards it is just like an FFXI character creation in 2011...

It's very important for your avatar = the digital representation of you to be something you love and agree with. It would be so great if they added 75 more hairstyles and all kinds of sliders! I mean look at Aion, it has so much customization when you create your character that it will be VERY unlikely for you to meet your twin (unless of course you didn't take the time to modify anything and went with the standard look).

To help those of us in game that care about fashion and the way our characters look, they could just make it so you can dye (afterwards by anyone not just while crafting by crafters) any armor with many colors (including secondary) and maybe take another great idea from Aion. Re modelling gear! In Aion you can take almost whatever piece of armor and apply the looks of the first armor in your primary piece which you will be wearing. What happens is your first piece of armor will be destroyed and your primary piece of armor will look just like the one you destroyed! What a great way to give players customization over fashion attire in game.

I don't know about other people. But if everyone ends up being dressed pretty much in the same way like in many other MMORPG, my reasons to stay will be sensibly reduced.

I love the diversity I see in FFXIV at the moment.
