I am all for uniqueness but really??? you think there aren;t more important issues to fix first before making you character look nice?? Broken weapon skills, party dynamics, stam bar limiting players, no real end game content and plenty more to fix and you want to have diff lookin armor so you can look nice.

I wouldn't know. In my experience looks have always been a very important factor in a players' attachment to a character.

And players' attachment to their character has always been an important factor in that player staying to play a game.

They already offer multiple colors of a lot of items to give people some flexibility, and frankly that's plenty. Dev resources are not unlimited, and people feeling pretty should be an INCREDIBLY low priority.
i believe the changes mentioned above will make more players staying in the game then say, "hey look I can pick a blue or yellow belt for my char! coo!

I don't know about other people. But if everyone ends up being dressed pretty much in the same way like in many other MMORPG, my reasons to stay will be sensibly reduced.

I love the diversity I see in FFXIV at the moment.
