hehe true! I guess I just use the reindeer outfit to derp around is what I mean. /mandervilleing around or whatever in it. It's not something that I'd ever glamour onto an actual outfit, which will probably be the case with this moogle suit.
If the suit is a 1 piece suit that can't be used for glamour that would be an instant punch in the face.
I'm sure this opinion will be lost in the void of these forums, but I'm sticking here either way.
SE needs to stop this really terrible tradition of handing out IN-GAME exclusives to sell / reward their 'special' fans that came. The whole point of in-game exclusives could be boiled down to selling your tickets and / or telling your fans thank you by giving them something in game. However, SE needs absolutely no help to sell their tickets (considering they sold out within the first 30mins for Vegas at least) and these 'fans' are no better than anyone else in the game other than they have deeper pockets than $15 a month and the base cost of the game.
By handing out exclusive in-game items unobtainable through any other means, this is the message you're sending out SE; "Hey fans that spent $100 + travelling expenses, although the experience of this wonderful event should be enough for your purchase, here's icing on the cake that will set you out from the other hundreds of thousands of fans that were locked out. Enjoy!"
Not only do you alienate the rest of your fanbase by doing this, you also shoot yourself in the foot. I know a few people in game that bought several tickets just to resell at an enormous price.
The experiences at the event; getting to see upcoming events first, and providing really great memories, should be more than enough to provide ticket sales as well as an amazing time. Please stop this ugly and alienating tradition SE. Offer these items as a fun reward like you did with the titan-kills (what a fresh and amazing idea!).
Thanks for your time in reading this
As an aside; I'm not directing this post to the moogle outfit in particular, but all future items that will surely fall into this category of exclusivity.
I remember awhile ago Yoshi P said they wouldn't be doing stuff that not everyone could get but then they do this.
Yeah..because they need to focus on vanity....
He was talking about game changing items, not meaningless items like this or stuff like the bomb/cactaur earrings.
I try not to post long-winded posts here, but sometimes when direct contradictions happen like this I can't help myself. It's a serious problem that I really thought this company was above. I speak so highly of this game to my friends that play other MMO's b/c of the attitude they took with their fans. There are a few features that people get locked out of (legacy and what not), but generally they've been so good at making me feel included as a fan I don't even care about the locked out items. This is just a slap to the face, well maybe not so severe, not yet anyway. Either way, this definitely stings.
Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh, I don't get a mog suit cause I didn't spend money to go to fanfest

20 bucks to get the moogle costume if you buy the stream!
I say it's worth.
