Probably been said by others but I need to get this off my chest...

Remember Final Fantasy 7?
Remember the first time you summoned Ifrit/Shiva/Titan?
Remember the first time you saw Omni-Slash?
Remember how sad is was on a certain someones death?
Remember the time you spent playing around with the Materia system?
Remember all the mini games you played to earn that precious amount of gil so you could get that unique Materia?

I could go on and on but quite frankly should I even have to?
I'm so disappointed in FFXIV, with so much experience in making an epic game, Squaresoft, you've gone and taken everything out of a game that makes your games so amazing.

I've given FFXIV a shot, I pre-ordered it well in advance, and after playing it, I don't have any good memories of it at all!, all I remember is I'm grinding away with attack spams of abilities that all look the same, and allowing crafting of something that has a 10% success? well whats the point in that?, that just frustrates the player. Aren't we suppose to be having fun in games?
Group play is just the same as solo except now you can grind that little bit faster than solo. I got this game for group play with some friends but theres nothing in this game except grinding...
There's no mistake that every game has grinding of course but the way it's done is just so boring in FFXIV.
I've played FFXI for 3 Years also, I'd consider that a better game than FFXIV, Cause I remember nice memories from it, Sidewinder to a Eagle Eye Shot! Awesomeness
Getting a party for collecting Job specific Armour Set, while difficult, was definitely fun!
Low level party leveling group setup Paladin, Whitemage and 3 x Blackmage!!! pure bliss!!

Whats wrong with taking some lore and characters from the other games and including in into a massive on-line rpg? wouldn't it be great to fight along side Cloud or Squall? lol OK thats Kingdom hearts area kinda thing but heck that's what I always imagined what the Final Fantasy On-line experience would be. Or imagine a Mini-game to fight them like for training in a group!, Don't say it can't be done, this is a game!, Anything is possible!

I'd also just like to talk about the Nerf Bat in the recent update in FFXIV, that got to me to the point of making me cancel my subscription.
The nerf on the Ranger(and it wasn't even my main) did it for me in FFXI and now the HP increase on the Coblyns. Here I was thinking hmm ok I can level up at an ok speed (not as fast as I'd like but acceptable) solo on these Coblyns and then BAM! it going to take me 10 times longer to kill them now, I like group play as much as the next person but this was like the only thing I looked forward to grinding on. lawl
Seriously whats with the nerfing to increase grind times? it's like making Omni-Slash from a 13 slasher to a 8 slasher in FF7, Don't Do it!!!

Before you all go yelling but online rpg game is not the same as solo rpg, I say who made that rule? As a indiegames developer myself I know what the limits are to making a game and trust me there are no limits to replicating the imagination! Anything is truly possible to do in a game!, Only budget limits and with Square-Enix, I don't think they have a problem with low/limited budgets.

I'm not sure i've i'm allowed to mention other non-Square games? (no it's not WoW lawl)
But looking at GW2 and Terra, Its almost like they stole all of the ideas that Square pioneered in their single jrpgs games and used it to make their own game, and Just look at the gameplay! I can't wait to play them!!

Last thing I'm going to mention, summons!!! where are they?!?! This could be a rant but whatever, just voicing my opinion and frustration and disappointment in the game. lawl
