Not sure where to go next as my SCH

Okay so long story short, my main is currently my SCH, but I have been working on getting a few other classes/jobs leveled lately and I want to get back to my SCH at some point soon. At the moment my SCH is currently wearing the ilvl 90 myth gear and the atma weapon.

I am not sure how exactly I should continue though. Should I go for animus or get a different weapon? What gear should I get as upgrades and how should I go about obtaining them?

SCH BiS is all Daystar when it comes to the armour pieces, with a mix-up of High Allagan and Daystar for the accessories. Buying any of the soldiery armour pieces will ensure you're not going wrong and also naturally good and useful for your WHM, if you have one.

Weapon-wise, getting up to date with the relic quest can never be a bad thing - if you're going for the Animus, it's going to be a good i100 weapon for what it is worth, but it would only really shine upon being upgraded to Novus, with its customizable secondaries. I would probably use the T5 book with the ideal stats myself, if there was no access to the Ramuh book (also i100 with great itemization) or the High Allagan one, but if you're going to keep up to date with the relic quest anyway, going Animus/Novus will be good.

As far as the weapon goes, why not do both? You can work on Animus books while farming sol tomes or whatever for the other weapon(s). That way you have different options.

I'm at iLvl 93 and currently working on Atma for my SCH and farming sol tomes for the daystar gear and weathered book.

As far as gear goes, you have a couple of main options: you can farm sol times for the daystar gear or farm Syrcus Tower for the iLvl 100 drops. (Though as Tranquil points out, the crit on the daystar armour is great for SCH.)

Alright. So when I get back to my SCH the first step would be to start trying to cap my sol each week for the daystar gear then right?

As for the weapon, I really only have the atma right now because when I started atma I was not really aware of how many other options there were and when I found out I was already nearing the end of the atma grind so I decided that I might as well finish it up at that point.
So would you recommend the Ramuh book or the HA book? Or does it not really matter much?

Yes, capping and investing in soldiery gear is the way to go. Headpiece, body, legs - those are the three best ones, with the feet also being good, while the hands are the only critless slot. (You can rectify that by getting the Syrcus Tower gloves - that is a great piece for i100).

Ramuh book has 40 crit and is thus fantastic for i100, better than the easily-available-T5 book (which is still good). HA book is BiS, naturally. So getting it is optimal, but there are many options in the meantime. You could even go for the soldiery book and upgrade it to i110 via hunts, but that would eat up 3 weeks worth of soldiery to obtain and you can also work on Animus/Novus in the meantime. (The soldiery book is good due to that MD and being i110, but its secondaries are terrible).

Alright thank you so I will work on the sol gear first then and go for the Ramuh book until I can go for HA more easily.

Also one question about the Ramuh book. Is it obtained from hard mode or extreme mode Ramuh? Only asking because I have not done Ramuh yet and I know Leviathan weapon was only from extreme, and I am unaware if it is the same for Ramuh.

Yeah, the weapons are only from the EX mode and also not a guaranteed drop. I haven't farmed Ramuh EX mindlessly, but with a few dozen kills I would estimate the drop rate of a weapon being approximately 30%-35~. (The guaranteed drop from that fight is a i100 ring - that specific Ramuh ring is BiS for the SCH despite being i100, by the way).

If you want to save some Soldiery or prioritize your purchases, Scylla's Helm, Boots, Belt, and Gloves of healing all have Crit on them and can be used instead/until you get the Daystar pieces. The Gloves in particular are worth looking into as neither the Daystar nor High allagan have any Crit on them. The Daystar headpiece is better than the Scylla Helm, though.

Soldiery armor is great for progression but on the weapon side if stay away from the soldiery weapon since it isn't great and will compete with obtaining your weathered daystar.

If you plan on doing SCOB then the HA book is your goal... Plain and simple with a stop gap of the allagan book or Ramuh weapon in between. If you aren't doing that progression (like myself at the moment) doing the Novus is quite nice to work towards with the customizable stats. Just look at what you want to do in the game because there are really two end goals for Weapons (HA which is BIS or Novus if you aren't doing SCOB) everything else is just stop gaps to one of those. (I personally wouldn't bother with the soldiery weapon with poor secondary stats)

With the coming of ST drops, I think certain pieces for SCH can be reconsidered:

1) Hands - personally I think it is worth to just use the ST gloves for SCH. Both the Daystar and HA are non-crit gear, with Daystar being 12DET/25SS and HA 18SS/19PIE. ST gloves is 23CRIT/12PIE

2) Shoes - this is entirely debatable. Daystar is 18CRIT/25SS. If you wanted a little higher CRIT and drop the SS for PIE, then ST offers you 23CRIT/12PIE

3) Ring - HA ring is really meh. IMO should be replaced with Judgement Ring
