    melding MIN offhand

Just wondering what you suggest or how you would meld the secondary tool for MIN for 2-star gathering? Just an FYI, I have all HQ AF gear, including new 2.3 accessories, all max melded. I have the Forager's Hat and am halfway to obtaining the Forager's Dolabra. Wondering what I should meld onto my offhand in order to be prepared for 2-star gathering once I obtain my Forager's Dolabra. Thanks!

You know what's so overpowered in this game, that they just HAD to leave out?
    -Buffing during cutscenes.
    -Pets receiving the Protect buff.
-A blacklist with more than a 200 player capacity.
-Filtering the flying text for your own numbers.
-A better way to organize and sort through your macros.

If you have everything max melded(except off hand) with the new accessories from 2.3 once you get the forager Dolabra you will have :

    Gathering : 408
    Perception : 399
    GP : 635

    you can check here http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/

So you will hit the cap to gather 2 stars. The additionnal melds will be up to you

    Edit :
If you get supra tool (all max melded expect off hand)
    Gathering : 418
    Perception : 405
    GP : 635
Maybe this will be necessary for 3 stars nodes if it happens

Sounds good! I'll just leave my offhand alone for now in case they introduce something new relatively soon. My GP is 636 though.

the 636 / 635 gp is because forager hat http://xivdb.com/?item/7522/Forager%27s-Hat has only +3 GP while you can meld +4GP in the miner hat http://www.xivdb.com/?item/2928/Haml...%27s-Helmet-HQ

Are you saying the Forager's Hat will give me 636 GP? Because that is what I am wearing. I have never melded the MIN HQ head, nor am I wearing it, and I am sitting at 636 GP.

    It should be 636/637.

Where's all this discrepancy coming from? How could someone with the same gear and melds have 635, 636, 637 GP? Just so you are all aware, I am wearing all HQ AF gear, including new 2.3 accessories, ALL FULLY MELDED. The only exception is the head, I am wearing the Forager's Hat. The only thing I don't have at the moment is the Forager's Dolabra.

Have all of you forgotten that Militia Bracelets can now hold +10 GP? The real caps are 640/641 GP. Sadly not enough to hit 650 without food or 700 with food, so it doesn't change anything, except that it is now pointless to use the AF hat instead of the Forager's Hat. This should link to that build: http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/NF9E

For my offhand, I said screw perception. It only helps to a point, and at the time, it was super expensive. Instead, I used the cheapest melds I could - Guerdon III in the 100% slot, then Guerdon I, Guerdon I, Grasp 2, Grasp 2. It was so cheap that I could clear the melds and redo them (losing less money than the sledgehammer is worth) if super high perception was somehow needed for something.

    Neck 45+8
    Ear 45+8
    Wrist 43+10
    Ring 23+4
    Ring 23+4

    Guess that makes 640/641

At 625 GP you can use a swing to "bring it within reach" then ageless/solid, +5% success rate, 5 swings gets you enough for another ageless/solid, and you get your last two swings with brunt/deep (assuming you start with 95% success rate or get lucky). There's no reason to go past 625 until we can reach 675+ with food (max current food is +30)

My militia bracelets have the plus 10 GP melded into it. I am 636 GP. I understand that if I throw a plus 4 into the offhand, I'll have 640 GP. So why do all of you keep saying 640/641? Where is this 641 coming from?
