I think it's really lame you have to go to the market ward to get to the grand companies. There should be a building clearly visible in the city so that is obvious and much more exciting, same with the story mission area. I think the OP highlights a need for this, or at least something to make it a bit more obvious where these places are located.

This. It might be convenience but ugh....the MW? Really? I'm pretty sure all of three city-states have more than enough escape to have the Grand Companies. And of course, let us not forget all of the "you cannot proceed any further" places each city-state have D:<
