Where is the New Content?

Let me start by insisting that this is an actual concern that I have, and that I am not attempting to troll here. I logged into FFXIV for the first time in over a month, excited to explore some of the new content that had been mentioned over various Letters and Patch Notes.

Finding myself at Nophica's Well. The behest was about to begin, but since nobody else was present, I decided to teleport back to Ul'dah instead. I spent 30 minutes running around the city and didn't find a single NPC with a quest icon over his head. I tried asking a few people about the instanced raids, and got the same reply I always get - silence.

And the factions? I have no idea where to learn about these in-game, or where to locate them.

It's frustrating. I can't find any of the new content, and the community seems to be dozens of AFKs standing around the city peddling their wares.

Please, someone, help point me in the right direction. Where can I find some of this new content? Which cities should I be looking at, and where? Is my rank the reason I'm not seeing any of it?

Head to where the market wards are in your city. In the menu, you should see a new option. Enter and you can so numerous quests there including choosing a city as part of the grand companies.

Go inside a city market ward, enter inside hall of flames-the maelstrom-adder's something
do the quest the dude give to you
then do imperial devices and into the dark. They are the quests for the new dungeons. Then you can go shout to uldah for dungeons or wait in front of the entrace to find a party, otherwise if you got a linkshell you can ask there.
That's the new content you looking for now '-'

since you obviously know where these forums are you should know about the lodestone itself

read through the patch notes, every time a patch hits, and youll get all the info you usualy need about the new "content" added and where to get first access to it

If you haven't been on in months and you really did run around Uldah. You should have definitely seen quest icons all over the place.

I think it's really lame you have to go to the market ward to get to the grand companies. There should be a building clearly visible in the city so that is obvious and much more exciting, same with the story mission area. I think the OP highlights a need for this, or at least something to make it a bit more obvious where these places are located.

This. It might be convenience but ugh....the MW? Really? I'm pretty sure all of three city-states have more than enough escape to have the Grand Companies. And of course, let us not forget all of the "you cannot proceed any further" places each city-state have D:<

People shouldn't have to read patch notes. What about new players coming to the game now or months from now i guess you think they should look up patch notes from months ago to? They may happen to just find it but it's still bad design.
