Coming from someone who asks people to pass items in DF for desynth

So I'm probably not the only one doing this, but there seems to be a misunderstanding here.

I've asked in several wordings if people don't mind passing loot for desynth. I try to make it clear I'm not demanding, and not upset if they don't pass.

But the key thing here is several times at the end of a run someone who lotted+won stuff says to me "sorry what you were looking for didn't drop".

So, for anyone in DF that hears someone asking for drops for desynth, what they're asking for are the armor/accessory drops, not crafting mats. You're of course not required to pass by any means, but there's people like me that only do dungeons now for those drops for desynth.

And yes I could make some good gil from those desynths, there's no hiding that. I'd share you a cut if I could. And yes I could make a pf and spam with a full party but at least as tank, doing that would generally take longer to do. And why not help dps queues a bit while I'm at it?

I ran into someone asking to pass loot for desynth but they only wanted the accessories.
I don't really see a problem with it, but I think a lot of people are confused about how the system works if they don't keep up with crafting.

I guess I wouldn't mind people asking as I suppose there are people who have no interest in the gear... I myself lot stuff though, need those GC seals for ventures! Also SB potions and what-not.

Same. I've had people get mad at me for wanting the items for GC turn ins but honestly, how is that any less valid a reason to want the gear than desynthing it is? Heck, in some cases I just want it to glamour. *shrugs*

If you want to desynth stuff from dungeons, make a PF group for it. Get 3 other people that will do the same. Pick who gets what. Free lot the rest. No drama. Much loot of the type you need!

Tried that of course, doesn't really fill up fast...or at all.

I honestly don't care if people say right out "no i'm not going to pass, I need seals". That's your right. It's just a big facepalm moment when someone says "oh yeah definitely" thinking I'm just asking for peacock ores.
