I agree with this entirely. Never once have i had such an issue trying to "learn the ropes" of an MMO, but every time i have played FFXI or FFXIV i had no idea what i was doing. One thing that has always helped me out and one thing that makes me love this series of MMO's over other games is the community. You dont get those elitist jerks (that i know of anyway) in FF that you would find in WoW, Rift, or any other MMO of that type.

So your best bet if you want to enjoy the game to its fullest is if you have a question definitely ask it here in the forums, or, as other people have stated is find an LS to get with. Go to your server forums and just post about looking for a LS and you're all set. Its like playing an entirely different game when you have someone there to talk to.
