This is a well-rounded MMO with issues just like any other video game will have.

There are time sinks,
fetch quests,
poorly designed open-world content,
bad players who somehow made it through 50 levels without learning their class,
toxic players that are something like a nation's obligatory bigots

I would ask that you don't get so wrapped up in the game that you forget that it contains people, and the people largely influence your experience with the game. Reach out to the community, be active, form groups, tackle challenges, and at some point the game will give you a good sense of satisfaction.
If you feel like you've been waiting too long for that, then leave.
