He was only there for a few minutes and cleaned out the first two pages of our chest, which normally we only keep cheap beginner level stuff in there but seemed some members had put other stuff, including 300k worth of krakka roots, in there which he made off with.

Sorry this happened to you, I have no idea how SE could let this stand. I would say our best bet is to continue to report him to GMs until they actually decide to do something about it. This is borderline scamming and is not different then an RMT stealing your account.

this is really weird, actually. I kept getting invited to his FC yesterday which is odd considering I just started over, so it's not like he'd have anything worthwhile to loot from me. haha

that being said, I'm really glad I know who this guy is and what hes doing. definitely gonna warn my FC about him later, just in case.

I have mixed feelings about this entire ordeal because on one hand, access to chests should probably be restricted for new members as a precaution against these sorts of things... but on the other hand I can understand wanting to be nice to new players and letting them have access to low-level mats and such. I'd just suggest having the first few pages of your chest accessible to low level players and ONLY have junk/mats in there as a preventative.

I also have mixed feelings about the GMs. Honestly this is the type of thing GMs are *supposed* to handle, but then again FC drama is a very interpersonal sort of thing... so I can see the grey area here.

One of our officers reported him and was told there was nothing that could be done. There's no rule against joining an FC and using a chest obviously, and no rule not to leave. While its clear he did what he did with malicious intent, sadly the GMs refuse to do anything based on their policy
