There's no evidence to suggest that there's an excess of tanks/healers or whatever the needed role is at the time on other datacentres. All merging the datacentre would do is put extra load on that datacentre possible leading to lag and other problems. .

There are no data centres with more tanks/heals than DPS, with merging you would get more tanks and healers, but you would also get all the DPS also. So que times probably wouldn't change.

The current known jobs: 2 tanks (pld war), and 2 healer (sch whm), 5 DPS jobs (brd blm mnk smn drg), and ninja on the way, it will always be horrible for a dps to get a party. Factor in the tendency for people to be lazy and not want responsibilities in a game, the verbal abuse you get on one of those jobs if you make a mistake, and that a lot of the current content is old doesn't help.

The funniest thing is that in hunt zergs, healers & tanks are the best jobs. Seriously, look at the zerg and you will see parties with 7 tanks and 1 healer or 5 whms and 3 tanks.

People have the jobs, they just don't want to use them.

Oh and before someone says: "see the hunts break the game" type garbage, NO. there always been a shortage on tank/healer before the hunts.
