Any possibility of merging eu datacentre with another?

Queue times are horrendous, at all times of the day. Eu datacentre has so few servers compared to other datacentres. Can't the eu datacentre just be shared into the other datacentres? They are all supposedly located in the same geographic location anyways.

queue times are horrendous if u play ranged dps , tank healers are instant , melee dps isnt that bad, oh and hunting

Thanks, but lag is a genuine problem at peak times on some of the busier datacenters. It's the reason I switched server, and I'd rather not see any more 90k's while running dungeons.

I haven't queued longer than 15 mins on any job in months... you must be playing at really odd hours to be having such long queues.

I would strongly advise you to select the other languages in the duty finder though if you are having issues as this greatly expands the pool of potential players you can be matched with.

This is important advice.

I think the current situation is better than what we had where the EU servers were mixed with the NA servers. Queue times do suffer in off-peak hours, but in peak hours things are better.

Actually, there is no physical 'EU' datacenter - the servers/server groups listed as 'EU' are actually physically located in the NA datacenter in Montreal Canada. They're only listed as 'EU' servers for language and player timing reasons (so that they have a suggestion on what server to aim for). It's a common misconception though due to the misleading labeling.

OP is asking for a merge, to merge Chaos with either Primal or Aether to reduce queue times.

There's no evidence to suggest that there's an excess of tanks/healers or whatever the needed role is at the time on other datacentres. All merging the datacentre would do is put extra load on that datacentre possible leading to lag and other problems.

If by some miracle we were to get a European datacentre it would cause issues with the migration. I'm from the UK and made sure to only make characters on the recommended datacentre for Europe just in case SE change their mind.
