    Ganging up?

Maybe it's just the experience on my server but it seems that adder and mael would rather do there best to fight flames to make sure we stay in 3rd then fight eachother. There are times flames are at 1400 points and mael and adder will be tied for 700 each and rather then fight eachother for 2nd they still just come after flames. Vice versa mael and twin could be tied for 900 points flames at 400 and they would still rather fight to keep us in 3rd then fight for 1st.
Quite usually if all 3 are close in points it will be adder that comes after flames while mael still takes 1st place.
I dunno just seems kind of silly.

Going after the GC that's in first place is a valid strategy to try to take the lead.

Going after the GC that's in second place is a valid strategy to either extend your lead if you're first place or to take at least second place if you're third.

Going after the GC that's in third place is a valid strategy to extend your lead if you're either in second place or first place.

No matter what GC you are and no matter what place you're in, it's advantageous for the other two GCs to assault you. You will see this, without doubt, as you PvP. It is no conspiracy, nor is it any sort of real plan, it's just basic tactics. And, of course, if your GC is the one that's always assaulted, then you're likely always at 1st place early-midway into a game or have some terrible luck.

Thus is the nature of 3-Way Free For All Faction-based PvP.

Complete pvp noob here, but I'm enjoying the hell out if Frontlines right now! How do you tell who is in what place before it's over?

it just makes sense to me then if you have 700 points i have 700 points and susie may has 1500 points that we would fight eachother over 2nd place rather then go after susie may who is obviously sealed first place at this point.

While true, I have personally experienced games where we've overcome those odds exactly. It's rare, but it happens.

Also, it's important to keep in mind that your enemies are people, and people aren't always logical. It's a sort of instinct to go after the one with the largest advantage en force, so that's what you'll see a lot of people doing. That's why you're most likely to be hit if you're in first place, regardless of lead.

More particularly, you know this game's quest tracker? I think it's called something like the Duty Tracker or Duty List in this game... Anyway, you can see the current score for each GC on the top of that list.

It is a retaliation from both sides. With score difference that much, I would assume immortal flames haven rotate in camping the spawns that end up both sides decide to have retaliation.

I suppose it depends on the servers, but generally on Aether Flames aren't fair-play at all and/or tend to dominate fights if left alone. They have a trend to kill DC players (common courtesy would be to let them live if they aren't at a post. meh), and to use radar to track us even when they should have no way to track us down (I've seen players jump at me from mid platform as dragons as the nodes were up and I was invisible from above). Idk for adders, but more often than not we maelstrom tend to just kick the hell out of flames, just because we resent them for that.

So kinda the same that happens on Primal but with Maelstrom. Gotta kill the Maelstrom :3

Oh, shit. This works in PvP? That's bad. It needs to be fixed.
