This might have been true before 2.3 patch. Since hunts made getting I110 gear so easy what difference does the cap make now.
The limit is there to slow down progression. Even now without the weekly cap. If it had no storage cap, I could just save up all the myths i need to go from no books to all books in one shot. I'd have the fully upgraded Atma stats in only the few minutes it takes to run the lowbie dungeons required of them.
It also means you need to stop and consider how you spend your tomes rather than just saving up 1 million and then buying everything possible in one go.
If you have the time to continuously cap your Myths at 2k, you have the time to continuously spend those Tomes.
This stinks of you just wanting to rush through your Atma books. Until something comes along that costs more than 2000 Myths, there will never BE a reason to unlimit them.
I don't understand all the opposition, really. There's no serious harm in bumping up the cap to help prevent needless (and often accidental) overflow.
The most expensive thing we can buy with the tomes currently is worth 1500, which isn't that far off from our maximum capacity.
get fixed with 2.4 (no myth tomes anymore)Well i already got all IL90 gear set for my other jobs( even the jobs that is not lv 50 yet) and that include all zenith relic weapons... now my mytho caps aways reach 2000 and what i can do with it? i just can buy mats for sell... i just want save my Mythology stones to get my atma weapon later... so, will be possible remove this 2000 total cap of Mytho stone?
Just wait some more months

They have the cap so you can't hoard the tomes. The same reason you want it gone is the same reason they implemented it.
With philo tomes, once they removed the limit, they removed them as usable currency all together soon after. Since myths are used for so many things, and not just crafting mats and one gear set, I don't see the cap being removed or raised in preparation to do away with them entirely.
I think most of us get that. I still don't think there would be much harm in at least bumping the cap up by another 1k or so.They have the cap so you can't hoard the tomes.
With the whole 1500 tome books (75% of the maximum capacity) being a frequent buy + how much easier it is to get myth now since 2.3 (particularly with potential bonus myths as a first-timer bonus from duties that you might not necessarily be able to anticipate, like with trials roulette which must be queued solo), it's quite a lot easier to overshoot the cap by accident and waste myth.
Yeah, I don't think an extra 1k would ruin things. On the plus side now though if you overshoot your myth, once you spend it it's easier to get more. Honestly I am not against a cap increase, I just don't think SE will be budging on it.With the whole 1500 tome books (75% of the maximum capacity) being a frequent buy + how much easier it is to get myth now since 2.3 (particularly with potential bonus myths as a first-timer bonus from duties that you might not necessarily be able to anticipate, like with trials roulette which must be queued solo), it's quite a lot easier to overshoot the cap by accident and waste myth.
On another note even if someone could save up 13.5k myths, the atma book system still only lets you do one at a time at any point.
Maybe there will be a chance of the cap being removed once SE determines that myth gear is mostly outdated.
I'd fully expect that, once 2.4 comes in Myth will no longer exist, just like Philosophy no longer exists. So the new "unlimited" tomes will be Soldiery, capped at 2000, and a new 450 per week tomes to collect for the next tier of gear. Any myth that you do have will likely convert to Soldiery, so sitting on more than 2000 myth at any time will let people purchase a lot of Soldiery immediately. If they did increase the Myth storage cap, they'd have to make the conversion higher than it was for Phil to Myth.
That's the reason why they probably won't raise the cap. Keeping it fairly low (2000 is easy to get in the current game), means that those who don't have the time to do their duties every day and have much less Myth aren't put too far back when the new patch comes in.
It's annoying that you have to grind out 1,500 Myth, then spend it, then do your book, and then grind out another 1,500 Myth. Why can't I grind out 13,500 Myth from Hunts if I feel like it and then do all my books at once? What purpose does making me stop doing books to grind Myth or stop grinding Myth to do books actually serve other than be annoying, especially since Myth rains from the sky now in the game?
There shouldn't be a Myth cap at all now, but if they really want to have one, they should set the cap at exactly 13,500 tomes. The exact amount required to upgrade Atma to Animus.
Since you cannot have more than one book at a time, what the hell is the difference in a chain of:It's annoying that you have to grind out 1,500 Myth, then spend it, then do your book, and then grind out another 1,500 Myth. They might want to save up ahead of time, like when they are still getting the atma crystals. Or they may have all the atma crystals, don't know exactly which weapon they want to commit to, and still want to make progress towards whatever animus they are aiming for.Since you cannot have more than one book at a time, what the hell is the difference in a chain of:

I think the cap was there for economic reasons back in 2.0 when people had to spend philosophy to get crafting mats, but now I don't think that is really a concern.
