    Please allow purchase of drops from cleared content via tokens (soldiery?).

    It would be nice if there was an NPC that let your purchase raid gear from raids you have cleared. For example, if you've cleared Second Coil Turn 1, it lets you purchase items from that raid (though if you haven't cleared Turn 2, you can't buy anything that drops from there). In the context of Second Coil drops, this should cost soldiery, and have costs comparable to weathered gear (since HA has the additional cost of requiring a clear, whereas weathered gear is essentially "free").

    This would let folks who already have all of the weathered gear for their job actually start getting the rest of their BiS in the case that they are severely unlucky with drops.

    With the crushing one week lockout on Second Coil, it is EXTREMELY frustrating to clear a Turn week after week and get NOTHING. For example, I've yet to even see a casting drop from Turn 1. Like, not even SEE it drop. And 2 of my 5 BiS for HA come from there. Best part is, both of them are tied to the same chest, so there's zero chance I'll get both in the same week. But hey, I've seen a LOT of tanking and healing gear. Sure is fun to free lot stuff I don't want! In fact, the only thing I've gotten from Coil for my main is High Allagan Belt of Casting. Not even Best in Slot. Woo!

    I can't even begin to explain how much less I would hate this game if not for the extremely low chance of getting anything I want (outside of hunts... lol). I think loot should be locked behind skill-based challenges, not just like... Mindless repetition coupled with taking another swing at that slot machine. I'm extremely disinterested in the pattern of 1% drop rates for vanity items (mounts, mirrors, minions), and the overall poor drop rate and extreme lockout timers on current content. I've only seen a primal mount drop once or twice, only seen mirror drop twice, and this is with 100-150 wins on Levi EX, and dozens of wins on every other EX primal (besides Ramuh).

    It's very odd to design a game where you can play any job on the same character, then make it almost impossible (unless you are super lucky with drops) to gear more than a single job before the gear becomes obsolete.

    I thought it might be nice if they let you send retainers after specific items from content you've cleared, but have the venture cost more and/or take an enormous amount of time. Although I was thinking more in terms of vanity gear from low level dungeons rather than BiS gear.

    I doubt SE would do anything nice for Coil people, they seem pretty happy with the routine they've got going with lockouts. And it seems like they just want to ignore hunts as much as possible and pretend nothing has changed with how players expect to get gear.

    So your idea is that people should only ever have to clear Coil once, then never really have to do it again? That is really, really dumb.
    It would also encourage a lot of groups to just sell clears.

    Yeah, as much as the seems a good idea, once you clear every dungeon once you would have no incentive to touch the dungeon ever again. Then that leaves the now dwindling amount of players who haven't done the dungeon yet to suck Duty Finder queues that could effectively never be filled. I mean, imagine a new player trying to get their Sastasha win with absolutely noone to do it with and jilted players telling them to use Duty Finder only to have even that not work. No, I can't even look at the idea sarcastically, it's just that bad. You want the gear, run the dungeons. Try and be a member of the community for Twelves' sake!

    The problem is in the philosophy of what a raid is about. You are rewarded gear for a successful raid. The rewarded gear that drops may not be what you want/need, but the chance is always there.

    Your proposal would completely break this philosophy. Weathered gear already kind of breaks that philosophy because it's better than anything before SCoB/ST, with the exception that you can only get one a week due to the Soldiery cap unless Soldiery carries into the next week.

    For this to work it couldn't be soldiery tomes. It would have to be a currency you got specifically for clearing Coil. Moreover, the cost would have to be at least what you'd get for clearing all 4 turns, but more probably what you'd get for clearing all 4 turns 3-4 times. This would essentially provide 8 extra drops per group every 3-4 weeks (and optimum drops at that). It might be the sort of thing that can add later in a raid's life cycle (right about now for SCoB I guess), but near the beginning it would just get people geared up much more efficiently.

    It's a great idea, but only if they introduces specific currency for SCoB, this way you farm this, and use that specific currency (which should be capped per week). So you can technically get one item from the dungeons, and another items from using your currency. And you get better at clearing since you farm this.

    If that option existed people would clear once and never go again ( a lot would) then people who need it wont find anyone.

    Looks like it's been already said a few times, as this is a good example, but just to be clear, OP, This is a very bad idea, You think it's hard to find groups now due to hunts, with a system like that new people would NEVER get anything done.

    It would basically turn into FFXI were you won't get help for crap unless you pay people.
