As far as SE not developing, but approving addons, aren't we just arguing over semantics? Approval=control, whether they develop it or not.

Hmm actually made a response to this, or maybe not, addons get approved in the sense of, if it will break the game client, in the sense of it over using system resources or the default nature of the addon covers a large portion of the screen, simply just parsing isnt an issue, as long as the addon created doesnt cause problems to the client and isnt cheating anything, whats wrong with it. They wont stop a player made addon if it works and doesnt disrupt the client and its extra information we can get from the battle log presented to us.

Well, we all want to see the game get better. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that SE does get around to addressing the aches and pains that the community is having. I like to think of FFXIV ARR like a new house: something always has quirks that appear minor from the onset but eventually chip away at the home owners sanity, forcing them to try and get the problem fixed.

Games that are easy gets boring quick. When you were a child, blocks and legos fascinated you but as you got older, they became tedious. Same applies with FFXIV.

Really though it is not necessary to have any addons in an mmo, especially addons like deadly boss mods god that would suck in this game is it that hard to just pay attention to a fight? apparently so, the only addons I would accept is different types of HUD looks anything else is completely unnecessary.
