As my opinion about the current FFXIV combat I d say it is old days combat system back to year 2000 with the release of Lineage 2 and later release of WoW. In lineage 2 the combat system is about hate from tank and the DD just burst all their DMG to take down the boss/mobs, while wow have a special require to do a certain stuff while kill the boss/mobs. If we compare those 2 with the current FFXIV system it ll be the same as the Lineage 2 one with wait for tank to aggro and then the DD just burst DMG while the tank keep aggro.

So I have a suggest for the combat vs mobs/boss:


Chain combo:

I am sure all ppl in this forum had played FFXIII. Do you remember the air combo Lightning use ? Lock the target on air and then you can slam it on the ground. Why dont we have that system as well in FFXIV ? Wouldn't that make the combat become more exited and strategy ?


Random target:

As while fighting the mobs/boss, I suggest that the mobs & boss need to have a random target system that make it will choose 1 random in the party and go after that one regard aggro rate until the tank take it attention again.
