What makes this game competitive / unique?

Don't know why people think this game stands out in the graphics section. It doesn't. Maybe compared to old MMOs, but definately not to the new ones and let's better not talk about non-MMOs xD
I think SE just forgot that times change. They hope the PS3 will save it but I have my doubts. Maybe they should release it for PSVita too(I would totally buy it again).

I completely agree with the PSvita thing. They already thinking about putting FFXI on there but I think the mechanics of FFXIV would make it a better fit for it.
PS3 is the only hope they got otherwise.
It's funny how people keep saying give them time and wait for more updates. There have been MMOs that were fairly successful that came and gone in 1-2 years. FFXIV is almost at a year now and it's still awful.
SE will not keep this game alive for 30,000 subs, this is not League of Legends (I think LoL has more players than that actually).
